HABITUDESPersonal Laptop
Presented by: Todd Lee Mayfield
Our minds work like a computer. They only spit out what they’re fed.
Leaders are disciplined about what they invest in their mind and heart.
Sow a thought, reap an actionSow an action, reap a habitSow a habit, reap a destiny
GIGO
A lot of times we think of the “Garbage” as sexual thoughts, TV, bad movies, etc
What is other “Garbage” that we let fill our minds as believers/leaders?
DiscouragementRude thoughts of others
Believing bad thoughts of ourselves
Have you ever found it difficult to find the strength to live by
what you should?--contrary bits of information--review past week—what
input did you chew on that’s already there?
Feeding on yourself-your ego
Starving bakers can be cannibalizing themselves for
sustenance.
Residue—your own junk might be inadvertently fed
to your followers.
People do what they’re programmed to do.
The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart
his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Romans 12:2
Luke 6:45
45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
20 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words.21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep
them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. 23 Above
all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. 24 Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 25Let your eyes look
straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. 26 Make level paths for your feet and take only
ways that are firm. 27 Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
Prov 4:20-25
