Lyrics and Visuals The entire song is to do

with death and someone passing away therefore the whole video is a funeral for a girl known as “Helena” also the title to the song.

One lyric is “So long and goodnight” when sung it shows MCR carrying a coffin. This shows this lyric means saying goodbye to someone who has passed.

Music and visuals Because the song is set around the

death of a loved one there are many close up shots of lead singer Gerard Way singing and looking upset. His face expressions make him look like he is pleading for his loved one

The lighting The lighting for this music video is very

dark with colours of black and red. Black and red go well for this video and song as it shows darkness and sadness that falls on the funeral day.

Sound and visuals The key moment during Helena is when

the music settles down to practically whispering. This is when Helena climbs out of her coffin and dances down the isle. This is to show she may be dead but her spirit lives on
