• Empire is a British magazine, its first issue was July 1989.

• Empire is populist in both approach and coverage. It reviews both mainstream films and indie films, but feature articles concentrate on mainstream.

• They release magazines every month.

• Available in print and digital.

• It contains film news, previews and reviews.

• Its published in the United States, Australia, Turkey, Russia, Italy and Portugal. This would be a good publisher to use as to

promote my film as it is a well known and respected magazine. It is also sold in many different countries so a wide variety of people will know about the film.

• Sound & Sight is a international magazine that started in 1933 and is published by the British Film Institute.

• It focuses on film culture.• Available in print and digitally.• It is released monthly.• The magazine also asks people to

vote on the top best films.

I think this magazine would also be good to use because it is produced by the British Film Institute. The BFI is a charitable organisation whose main goal is to promote education about film, television and the moving image and its impact/ influence on society. The magazine includes audience reviews/ feedback which is extremely helpful to film makers.

• Total Film is a UK-based film magazine published 13 times a year.

• The magazine was launched in 1997.• It offers cinema, DVD and Blu-ray news,

reviews and features.• It is available both in print and interactive

iPad editions.• Each month, Total Film provides a range of

features, from spotlight interviews with actors and directors, to making of and on-set pieces for new and future releases. Each issue always includes the Total Film Interview, which is a six-page in-depth chat with an actor or director, along with a critique of their body of work.

This magazine is good because it is available on more that one platform (online, print) so the films that it is promoting will not be missed.
