The Mercantile

The Mercantile is a breathtaking retail adventure located at 147 New Boston Street in Woburn, Massachusetts. The Mercantile is operated by NuPath, Inc. program participants and sells a variety of crafts created by participants.

The Mercantile’s enchanted giftshop is inspired through the fusion of a specialty boutique with the whimsical charm of a New England country store. The Mercantile represents a special and distinctive venue to showcase our line of beautiful merchandise and unusual craftwork created by artists in our programs and includes our popular jewelry designs, “Let us Charm You,” as well as other captivating products like one-of-a-kind, hand-made gifts, extraordinary decorative accessories for the home and garden, fine stationery and greeting cards, designer pocket books and gift bags, high-end seasonal décor and ornaments and other enticing (but affordable) whimsies!

Warning: no visitor will leave this exquisite escape without a making a purchase to share with another or as a gift for themselves!

How The Mercantile involves the individuals NuPath, Inc. supports:

Our individuals are employed on many levels in the operation of The Mercantile. 

The items sold in the store are created by our individuals allowing them to have paid work while expressing an array of artistic talents and abilities. 

The store itself is run by the people we serve, providing them with valuable training opportunities while earning a paycheck.  The store is a valuable stepping stone towards full community employment. In total there are close to 25 individuals employed in some fashion directly related to The Mercantile store, and earning paychecks while they work towards full community employment.  The store has allowed NuPath inc. to help prepare people for jobs in the community by “creating” real employment programming.

Let Us Charm You Jewelry

Let Us Charm You is the popular line of jewelry designs handcrafted by artists in NuPath, Inc.’s programs.

Each exquisite adornment is handcrafted using only the finest wire-wrap metals, interwoven with beads, gem stones, pearls, crystals and vintage glass.

Let Us Charm You jewelry designs are sold at The Mercantile’s New Boston Street location in Woburn.

Embroidery

The Mercantile also specializes in crafts that have been embroidered by artists in NuPath’s programs.

Embroidery merchandise includes:– Gorgeous quilted handbags– Beach totes– Special order embroidery including

blankets, clothing, etc. – Sports related embroidery – get

your favorite team logo embroidered on a sweatshirt!
