Project Statement CONNECT MAIN STREET will use existing public

rights-of-way to support and enhance thenorth/south movement of pedestrians and

bicycles. Vision Statement

The vision is to enliven the corridor by providing

a safe and beautiful place that connects the

commuting, recreational, economic and social

activities of the city. The design will focus on the

shared circulation of bicycles, pedestrians, and

vehicles. The project will encourage interaction,

improve health and create an amenity for

generations to come.

Breakout for WorkshopLet’s get to work

• Take 30 minutes for…

• Another 15 minutes for…

Then, let’s here what you have to say

Page 43: Presentation&workshop resultscb july 12 final

Next Steps

• Your ideas and input on what you want in the

plans will be summarized

• The planning & engineering team will look at

how these ideas can be implemented

• Three alternative approaches will be

developed

• The next public workshop will present these

alternatives and ask for concerns or support

• The consultants, staff and working group will

select on alternative (or hybrid) to move

forward
