LIGHTING UPDATEElevating the Quality of Life in the District


� EXTERIOR – All exterior lighting (except for the existing Washington Globes at the

playing field and the existing bollards at the west edge of the school site) are full

cut-off downlights with 3000K or 3500K lamping.

� DOOR LIGHTS – Recessed, cylindrical sconce, and surface mounted

downlights. At egress doors lights will be on all night.

� PATHWAY LIGHTS – New Bollards on occupancy sensors, Existing Bollards

connected to timer and turned off when building is unoccupied

� STEP LIGHTS, POLE LIGHTS - connected to timer and turned off when

building is unoccupied. Will turn on in an emergency

� PLAYING FIELD LIGHTS - on their old schedule, because they are not circuited

through the school.

� INTERIOR LIGHTING

� Classroom/ office, gym, multipurpose and library: off when the building is

unoccupied. Select “Emergency” light fixtures will turn on in an emergency.

� Main corridor, stairway and hall lights have limited select fixtures that

remain on as emergency lighting
