SYNERGY™ Everolimus-Eluting Stent
SynchronyTM Bioabsorbable Coating
PROMUS Element™
Boston Scientific data on file. * See precautions for pre- and post-procedure antiplatelet regimen in the DFU. Representative drawings are to scale.

Synchrony™ Bioabsorbable Coating
ElementTM

BioMatrix Flex™ Stent
“Clopidogrel is required for a minimum of 6 months
and strongly recommended for 12 months in patients
who are not at high risk of bleeding per the
ACC/AHA/SCAI 2005 Guideline Update for
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. Acetylsalicylic
acid is to be administered indefinitely to reduce
the risk of thrombosis.”
Absorb™ BVS
“Antiplatelet drugs should be used in combination with
the Absorb BVS. Physicians should use the information
from the SPIRIT Clinical trials and the ABSORB trials,
coupled with the current literature on drug-eluting stents
/scaffolds and the specific needs of the individual
patients, to determine the specific
antiplatelet/anticoagulation dose and duration to be
used for their patients in general practice. A minimum
of 6 months duration is recommended.”
Nobori™ Stent “Judicious selection of patients is necessary since
the use of this device carries the associated risk of
sub-acute thrombosis, vascular complications and/or
bleeding events. Hence patients should be
maintained on clinically adequate post-
procedural antiplatelet therapy (aspirin and
thienopyridine, or other appropriate antiplatelet
agents).”
Orsiro™ Stent “It is very important that the patient is compliant
with the post procedure antiplatelet
recommendation. Premature discontinuation of
prescribed antiplatelet medication could result in
a higher risk of thrombosis, myocardial infarction
or death.”

EVOLVE Trial 12-Month Clinical and 6-Month Angiographic & IVUS Results
Study Objective:
To compare the bioabsorbable polymer SYNERGY™ Everolimus-Eluting Coronary
Stent System to the permanent polymer PROMUS Element™ Stent for the treatment
of de novo atherosclerotic lesions
Study Design:
Prospective, randomized, controlled, single-blind, non-inferiority design in patients
with de novo coronary lesions ≤28mm long, with a reference vessel diameter
≥2.25mm ≤ 3.5mm, and diameter stenosis >50%. The trial excluded LM, CTOs, and
AMI/recent MI.
Primary Endpoint:
Clinical: 30-day Target Lesion Failure (Target Vessel Cardiac Death, Target Vessel MI,
Ischemia-driven TLR); Angiographic: In-Stent Late Loss at 6 months.
Patient Population: PROMUS Element Stent
SYNERGY Stent – Full Everolimus Dose
SYNERGY Stent – ½ Everolimus Dose

SYNERGY™ Stent
