1. Pick an engaging speaker

2. Try a new venue (ha, of course a realistic one!)
Are there any cool, new spaces opening up on your area? A new hotel, restaurant or office space.
If you are in the Atlanta area, check out www.meetatroam.com. This is a great example.
Or totally throw off your members and try a fun place like a bowling alley or movie.
When trying a new venue, remember to take in essential
things like parking, cost and food. It all needs to be convenient.
3. Try a different approach to networking
This was an actual MC event at the ASAE Annual Mee4ng in Atlanta.
Attendees can start to predict how an event will go.
Try incorporating networking at different
times or locations.
When an attendee checks in, give them someone else’s name tag and tell them to find that person and interview them. You can take it a step further and have them introduce their new friend to a table or group!
Ice Breaker Networking Idea:
Create a LinkedIn group for pre-conference connections and discussions. This will allow attendees to get to know each other before the conference even starts and they can build stronger relationships in person at the event.

Post your event pictures on social media and your AMS.
Make sure to follow up with
new members and interested
professionals who attended
and get their feedback. Get
them to join while they are
still on the conference high.
