•Boracay Island is located at the Northwest Coner of Panay Island in Western Visayas, Philippines.•CLIMATE: 2 Seasonal Weather patterns – Amihan and Habagat.

The Amihan Season has moderate temperatyres with little or no rainfall, and dominant wind from the East.

The Habagat Season, on the other hand, has hot and humid weather, with recurrent heavy rainfall, and dominant wind, from the west.

-This tree grows up to 115 ft (35 meters)- It stands upright with symmetrical crown and branches that grow horizontally.-It’s fruit is detached by water, and the nut inside it is edible when fully ripe. The nut tastes almost like almond.

• SEA POISON TREE (common name)Scientific Name: Barringtonia Asiatica

-It is a small to medium sized tree that grows about 7-25 meters in height.- This tree can be found beside the swimming pool of Boracay Regency. It’s pink and white blossoms exposes itself only at the evening, and it’s fruit has seeds that daze fish when it is scraped and thrown to the water.

Scientific Name: Pterophyllum Scalare- Considered the most popular and most beautiful tropical freshwater fish.- Social Behavior: It is peaceful, but it eats smaller fish.

cyanea-Some kinds of Damselfish nurture red filamentour algae.- At present, it is the only fish known to engage in farming.

• PARROTFISH (common name)Scientific Name:

-Their feeding activity is significant for the production and dissemination of coral sands in the reef biome.-- They prevent algae from choking the corals.
