1. Michael Vick
Born on 26th June, 1980, Michael Vick is an American
Football quarterback for Philadelphia Eagles of the National
Football League and is the most hated athletes in America.
In April 2007, Vick was implicated in an illegal interstate god
fighting ring and had to serve 21 months in lockup, followed
by two months in home confinement. Though he still has fan
following 60% of his fan dislike him due to this incident.
2. Tiger Woods
The American professional Golfer, Tiger Woods is one of the
most popular names in the field of Golf but due to his
infidelity in 2009 60% of his fans started hating him. It was
during this period of time that many companies re-evaluated
their relationships with him and few of them even ended
their sponsorship deal with him.
3. Plaxico Burress
Currently a free agent, Plaxico Burress is a Football wide
receiver, who was born on 12th August, 1977. In August and
September 2008, Totowa police had to respond to two
domestic disturbance call at Burress’s place. Again on 28th
November, he suffered an accidental self-inflicted gunshot
wound to the right thigh in New York City nightclub. All
these evens hampered his reputation and 56% of fans showed
their disappointment.
4. Ndamukong Suh
With numerous awards to his name, Ndamukong Suh is a
Football defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions of the NFL.
His hard earned name got spoilt when on 24th November,
2011 during the third quarter of the Lion’s Thanksgiving
game against the Green Bay Packers Suh pushed Packers’
offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith’s head into the
ground three times followed by stomping on his hand, after
which 51% of his admirers started disliking him.
5. Kris Humphries
A Basketball player by profession Kris Humphries has been
celebrating his birthday on 6th February since 1985.though
he is proficient in his sports his married life could not hold
any stable ground. There has been quite a number of news
related to him getting involved with Bianka Kamber and Kim
Kardashian. This has given a bad reputation to his name and
today around 50% of his fans abhor him.
6. LeBron James
Nick named as King James, LeBron James plays
basketball professionally for Miami Heat of the
National Basketball Association. Despite of Forbes
ranking him as the second most influential athletes
in 2010, LeBron James’s fate got changed forever
when he uttered the sentence, “I’m taking my talents
to South Beach” to announcer Jim Gray on “The
Decision”. This did not go well with his followers with
48% dislike.
7. Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant is the shooting guard for the Los Angeles
Lakers of the National Basketball Association and has
enjoyed a successful career in this field. But the
summer of 2003 proved unlucky for him since he got
arrested in connection with an investigation of a
physical assault complaint filed by 19-year old hotel
employee Katelyn Faber. The arrest has given a blow
to his fan following and at present 45% no longer
appreciate him.
8. Terrell Owens
The 38 years old American Football wide
receiver for the NFL, Terrell Owens is one
among the top 10 most hated athletes in
America. His popular image in the field of
basketball got ruined due to a number of
controversies offending 45% of his followers.
9. Alex Rodriguez
The 1975 born American baseball third baseman, Alex
Rodriguez has been a topic of criticisms since his alleged
inability to produce hits in clutch situations. Due to the
Yankees’ successful history, he was compared unfavourably
to other Yankees greats who have performed exceptionally
well. This has lead to downfall of his status and in today’s
date 44% people in America stopped supporting him.
10. Kurt Busch
Kurt Busch is another name in the record of top ten most
hated athletes in America. The 34 years old got involved in a
series of controversies including the 2005 Phoenix incident,
Fall Richmond incident and few more. Whether he was at a
fault or not, since then his fans started distrusting him
resulting in 42% dislike currently. Kurt is a driver in the
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and drives the No. 78 Furniture
Row Chevrolet Impala for Furniture Row Racing in the Sprint
Cup Series and the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry for
Kyle Busch Motorsports in the Nationwide Series.
