1. Prototyping of caterpillar Masanori Endo s1200176
2. CATERPILLAR USING LEGO BLOCKS We want to create this product
because rst time, we search robot object that uses Lego by using
Internet. Then that robot car appeared. We thought that object is
interesting so we select this product. Secondly, we thought this
product can go ahead in any situation. Thirdly, the design of this
product is interesting for us.We rst time to see the product that
have many wheels.
3. 1st Product Prototype using Tinkercad To create prototype
with Tinkercad. The original photo was complex so we had to do deep
observation. We would create caterpillar so we should to understand
with assembly of caterpillar and system of caterpillar. After that
we created the caterpillar step by step. Tinkered application can't
express detail shape because we can only use box shape object, or
cylinder shape object, or simple shape of object. So it's difcult
to create prototype completely. But we contribute to express the
original shape.
4. 2nd Product Prototype using Autodesk 123D Design We created
a prototype using the "123D Design" as 2nd prototyping. "123D
Design" the same way as Tinckercad, can be used to create a
prototype using 3D graphics. This software is designed small parts
such as screws and gear from the beginning. So, it is possible to
create a prototype close to the real thing than Tinckercad. In
addition,Tinckercad is cloud-based. So, it can be used only in the
browser. However, "123D Design" can be downloaded from the
internet. Therefore, it can be used in local area. If we do a lot of
editing in the download version of the "123D Design", it is
sometimes unexpectedly quit. Image of this prototype is a
caterpillar. It is not too large. This is connected to more than one
tire in a small rectangular Lego block. So, it has joints. Thanks to
the joint, it can be bent. This also has six motors to move the
tire. Therefore, it can be entered into a small gap which can not be
able to enter the human. If this caterpillar has a camera, when it
entered the small gap, we can see the image of the place. This
functionality is built into a robot for rescue well.
5. 3rd Product Prototype using Autodesk 123D Make This software
take in 123D Design model. And setting the option for create new
model. Set to 10 the division number. Next, set the size of model.
Finally,To show the developed parts. You can create this object in
real life based on this developed parts.

26. IDENTIFYTHREE IMPORTANT PROBLEMSYOU FACED DURINGTHE
CONSTRUCTION OFTHE PRODUCT PROTOTYPES USING 123D DESIGN AND MAKE
SOFTWARE. First problem is that download version "123D Design"
force- quit frequently. If you use 123D Design in low specs PC, it
will force-quit frequently. Second problem is that We can not be
edited in their own design that is present from the beginning to
the "123D Design". When we were applying the design was made with
123D Design in 123D Maker, it may not be reliably reect.

28. CONCLUSION I felt to be very easy to do because it uses a
Lego and initiative is seen.
