2014-09: UK Boiler Inspection at COTTAM in UK
Feedback after 500 Welding inspections by Quality Control:
• Joe Cooke, Alstom UK : “The use of the checklists has undoubtedly improved quality control as well as the clients perception of our QC systems, as shown by the statement made by the EDF project engineer”
• Nick Farr, CMV Engineer, EDF : “the ability and freedom the iPad gives, allowing the QC operatives a greater on-site presence, reducing the risk of quality issues getting under the radar”
• “it has been proven to me that the use of the iPad technology during the project was not for just the sake of being innovative but had a genuine place within the QC role, capturing valuable information and easing the work pack generation.”
