Institution
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is responsible for the concept, state and development of the education system in the Czech Republic.
Youth Department is in charge of the youth field. More specifically it:
is responsible for supporting children and youth in non-formal learning settings, leisure-time activities and training,
implements and coordinates youth policy in a wide range of thematic fields, which affect lives of young people,
aims to promote and provide equal approach to organised and non-organised youth as well as stakeholders involved in youth work.

Institutions and organisations: National Institute for further education - a service organization of the Ministry of
Education, Youth and Sports Youth Chamber – cross-sectoral advisory body for the minister Czech Council of Children and Youth – umbrella organisation for youth NGOs Council for the extra-curriculum education – includes institutions like school play
centres, school clubs, etc.

The Youth Department comprises legislative, political and conceptual work; exercises and supports international co-operation; supports non-governmental non-profit organisations
suports the care of talented pupils and students; enhances youth participation and volunteering etc.
Besides these programmes the Youth Department:implements its own projects on national level and establishes guidelines for further development of both young people themselves and organisations working with children
and young people.
