Previously…I gave an overview of prospecting with posture and confidence and promised to elaborate more on each of the 5 steps in more detail, individually.

Here is the fifth step…

5. Don’t be afraid to take it away

Okay, so here we are at the fifth and final step in prospecting with posture.

This is the one that many find challenging. Heck, I remember a time

when *I* found it difficult to do. I mean think about it…

You’re brand spanking new to the world of Network Marketing or just business, period.

You are hoping, wishing, and praying for that first sale or sign up… that first customer or

business partner.

Someone comes along and clearly they are

not qualified to work with you. Perhaps they are rude and obnoxious or perhaps they are showing all the signs of an extremely needy

person who will require every waking moment of your time.

Instead of realizing the future headache that awaits you and telling them they may not be a

good fit, you anxiously sign them up.

Remember the story of Jerome?

If not, refer back to it in the previous step 4. But long story short, Jerome was very adamant in his request for a customized page in exchange for him “doing me

a favor” and signing up in business with me.

That is NOT someone that I desired to work with so I took it away from him by basically letting him

know that perhaps this isn’t for him and that I was not going to negotiate over a $20 decision.

He was not very happy about what I said to him and he went off, telling me that I’m not Oprah and to “get

my ass off of his friends list” lol.

Now some people don’t react that way at all but instead…

They will realize that you mean business and that you’re not desperate. They end

up practically begging to do business with or to partner with you!

Imagine that!

So my final tip for you is to never, EVER be afraid to take it away. Follow your gut instinct and just be that Alpha leader who is poised, confident and POSTURED in such a way that

people will have a stronger desire to work with you than YOU have for them to.
