I fully support the Liquor Law Review and in particular the Legion for Families initiative. Thirty five years ago I took my son to my Alberta Legion for supper. In his little sailor suit he was the hit of the evening. He enjoyed everyone and they enjoyed him. That is family and friendship. Today in British Columbia I can not take my grandson to my Legion for supper. If children can go to ski hill bars, why not the Legion? The question is rhetorical but quite valid! Dave, Edgewood, BC

Some of the ideas raised in the press recently, for example more beer sales at hockey games or allowing drinking on Vancouver beaches or at the Celebration of Light held annually, will only put public health and safety at risk. This is common sense. You only have to visit England to see the downside of relaxing public drinking rules, where people walk the streets drunk with litre bottles of booze in hand and fights break out at soccer games. If the intention here is to increase the B.C. economy, it should be done with extreme caution and with strict rules to keep drinking within designated areas. Thank you, Simon
