What are the

purposes for which

the Mass is offered?

Christ offer the sacrifice of the Mass

as Head of the Mystical Body,

united with the members of His Church.

Hence, the Mass

is the sacrifice of Head

and members of the Mystical Body of Christ.

How does Christ offer

the sacrifice of the Mass?

1. To adore God as our creator and Lord

2. To thank God for the gifts we have received from him

3. To satisfy God’s justice for the sins committed

against him.

4. To ask God for graces and blessings

for the faithful on earth

and the souls in the purgatory.

As the visions during the night continued, I saw one like a Son of man coming,


on the clouds of heaven;

when he reached the Ancient One


and was presented before him, the one like a Son of man received dominion, glory, and kingship;


all peoples, nations, and languages serve him.


His dominion is an everlasting dominionthat shall not be taken away,


his kingship shall not be destroyed.

PROFESSION OF FAITH

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again.

He ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints,

the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
