Our background

» A public relations and communications specialist, Mike leads social media strategy at Ohio’s largest healthcare system and previously at Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services.

» After a career in public relations and communications, Tami now is an author, blogger and speaker who uses social media everyday to spread her message of hope to people with cancer and their loved ones.

Why Facebook?

• The largest social networking platform. Facebook now has 890 million users

• Used mostly by people age 32-88• Great way to expand our visibility and engage our

congregants!

We all are ambassadors for Unity

Switching things up on our page

• Like the official New Thought Unity Center Facebook page. (Different than the Being in Unity group or other Unity groups out there.)

• Like and share posts with your friends and family.

• Comment on posts.

• Friend Tami and Mike. Take photos and/or video at events, in Friendship Hall and share it with us so we can share on the page.

Easy things you can do to help

Sharing on your own page

• You can do it sparingly so it’s not pushy. Attraction, not promotion.

• Tagging• Hashtags• Casually mention something about going to NTUC or

what you liked about a service or event on your page, share pics.

What gets most attention

• Photos of people (people love seeing pics of themselves or friends)

• Inspirational stories, quotes• Sharing useful/interesting information• Posts with personal touch, about you and what matters

to you.• Keep it short and sweet.
