The elements in the magazine format the hobbies and interests and stories of people lives changing through music.

•‘Gospel Generation’ is the name of my magazine. The reason I behind the name of my masthead is it initials the genre itself and it incorporates the idea of magazine with the entailment of ‘Generation’ it involves not only the target audience but also all audiences of different generations.

Gospel music magazine consists of having a purpose to be informative and publish monthly magazines whilst attracting the target audience with simplistic but sophisticated fonts and cover lines. The elements in the magazine format the hobbies and interests and stories of people lives changing through music.

‘Gospel Generation’ is the name of my magazine. The reason I behind the name of my masthead is it initials the genre itself and it incorporates the idea of magazine with the entailment of ‘Generation’ it involves not only the target audience but also all audiences of different generations.

The colour usage of the masthead will be white and purple which relates to my colour scheme. Whilst researching different magazines many subvert the conventions of their masthead through the layout and the fonts used. Which is present with different fonts to define what font would appeal to my niche target audience as well as others. The font I chose was Britannia Bold which is the first one because it complies with how most gospel magazines are simplistic but appealing.

The design of the masthead is presented with a capital ‘G' with ‘ospel’ then underneath ‘eneration’ to capitalize the G which defines the word gospel and also it subverts the conventions of one line masthead.

The masthead will be placed at the top of the page but the ‘G’ will be highlighted in a separate box with the rest of words next to it.

Purple, white and black are the fonts that I will be using in my magazine. The usefulness of these fonts blends together. The style of the fonts will look sophisticated but bold to attract the reader. A range of sizes will follow throughout the magazine to illustrate the importance of the cover lines and especially the main cover line.

Especially as Gospel magazines do not have many ranges of colours or fonts as they only use the limit of three colours.

The layout of the magazine will consist of two columns using the rule of thirds to present the main image and the three cover lines will be aligned to the left then the main cover lines will aligned to the right underneath the central image to pronounce how the image and the cover line connects

In many Gospel magazines they cover lines are aligned across the page with different fonts and sizes to show the more important cover lines.

The central image will be constructed using the rule of thirds using one main model that is the focus and is happy and dancing whilst in the background there are other people from the congregation who are participating in the celebration. On the other hand my second option is to have simple picture of youth choir robe. The reason for this chosen image is because it relates to my main cover line and it shows the people being excited by gospel music through the reflection of more than one model in the main image especially as most of gospel music magazines have only model as they are celebrities or 2 models considering their relationships. The second option I have chosen is because it shows how youth still involved in the activities of music in church as well as outside.

•The main image tells the potential target audience that Gospel music is exciting and how many people are interested in gospel music. As well as with the illustration of the main image having the focus of one model it identifies that something special has happened in her life with the impact of gospel music for the model to celebrate.

To an extent I consider that my central image will appeal to my target audience because it shows a youthful young girl who is celebrating with friends and family. Evidently the picture incorporates a sense of belonging towards the audience because they can either reminisce on that memory of celebration or empathise with wanting to achieve that celebration. Moreover because the image is not of a celebrity it can also present how the target audience can relate to model in the image because of the normality of the person. In my magazine I will not include extra pictures because how my central image take precedence to the whole of the front cover and it disrupts the layout of the magazine.
