ABOUT US
2010 SEASON
Stockport Georgians Cricket Club is located in Woodsmoor and attracts members from all surroundingareas. We have 3 senior teams as well as a development team that play weekly during the summer. New members, young, old, talented or not so will always be made welcome and find a home with us.
Our junior section is fast becoming one of the best in the region.We have 9 junior teams with almost 200 juniors who receive club funded coaching on a weekly basis.
The club is run entirely by volunteers who give up their time & effort to keep the club running.
2010 was a great season in cricketing terms for the seniors. The 1st XI retained their place in the Cheshire County League, whist the 2nd XI achieved promotion into the CCL 1st Division. The 3rd XI also gained promotion by topping their league by dome distance.
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that one of our 1st XISimon Normanton made his way to Australia this winter where he wasselected to bowl at the England batsmen as part of their preparationfor The Ashes - and contribute to their WINNING performance.

THE ASHES
The social side of the club increased with more & more parents accompanying their children on a Friday night as well as successful event nights including Bingo, Pub Quiz& the ever popular End of Season Do! None of this would’ve been possible withoutthe help of local businesses who donated prizes & volunteers who donated their time& effort. Here’s to a successful 2011 both on & off the field!
