The colour scheme ihave used for my magazine uses vibrant and bright yet sopisticatedcolours. This reflects the target audience as they are usually fairly outgoing and upbeat characters.

I have used a sans serif text for the title and for the text throughout my front cover as my magazine is intended to be a very intellectual magazine, i aimed for it to be more laid back to reflect the laid back character of my target audience. With the title text being on a slight slant this also challenges the general conventions of magazine titles making it stand out and become more memorable.

As my intended target audience are likely to be very interseted in music, ithought an offer for a free cd would draw in the customer and grab their attention as this is a very interesting thing that is likely to entice them to purchase my magazine.

For the contents ikept with the three-part colour scheme to create a sense of brand identity so that the audience would see the magazine as professional.

I used slanted text/text boxes in order to make the magazine seem more outgoing and spontaneous, mirroring the stereotypical character of my target audience.

With the photos used i have also tried to create a sense of what is to come in the magazine in order for them to wish to continue reading.

For the title i have used the same text format as i have done with the front cover, this is to create a sense of brand identity for the audience and also to once again show off the unique convention of my title.

I have tried to keep the article as vibrant as possible, as there is a lot of text which may to some readers be quite daunting at first hand. However as the article is about a key interest i feel that i am able to get away with using the large block of text.

When asked what they thought of my magazine, my target audience stated: ‘I like the vibrant colours used for the front cover, the

layout is also very busy without overcrowding the page making it look daunting. I like the faded out background of the box around the secondary image as this is very different to any other magazine I have seen before.’

‘The colours of the magazine are very appealing to the eye, the cover is very vibrant with a key colour scheme running throughout. The images used are also appealing and would entice me to buy the magazine as the people used are of key interest in society today.’

‘The contents page for the magazine has a very bright vibrant background, which makes it stand out and look appealing. The scratched effect gives it an edgy feel which also makes it look more interesting and different. I like the slanted text boxes as this challenges the common conventions of straight aligned text.’

‘I like how the colour scheme of the contents reflects the colour scheme on the front cover. The images and headlines used also make me want to read on as they sound appealing and of great interest.’

‘The double page spread looks very professional. Once again the colour scheme has been kept throughout, showing a key sense on brand identity. I like the black and white effect on the image used also, as this gives a different aspect to the other photos used in the magazine.’

‘I really like the whole colour scheme on the magazine, the brand identity makes it look very professional, and makes it more enticing to read. The highlighted headings for each question break the text up to make it seem more appealing to read also.’
