CHROME VANADIUMThe Chrome Vanadium Steel contains more Carbon compared to the Chrome Nickel Steel used by most of our competitors.

The contents of carbon decides howmuch the steel can be hardened.The higher contents of carbon allows us to hardenour drill bits more, resulting in a stronger drill bit.

BODYDrill bit body made from the finest Chrome Vanadium Steel.Hardened to app. 50 - 53 HRCfor maximum rupture strength.



The brazing paste used has a melting point of app. 920 degrees Celsius. This means that the drill bit can actuallybecome red hot without the carbide tip falling out.

Cheaper drill bits often fail because of apoor brazing.

DRILLINGWhen impact drilling larger holes in hardgranite it is recommendable to usestep drilling. Drilling of a Ø 14 mm holerequires pilot drilling of an Ø 6 mm holeand after that step drilling with Ø 10 and Ø 14mm.

ROTARY DRILLINGThe CORDLESS Multipurpose Drill Bit is designed for rotary drilling.

Impact drilling may cause the carbide tip to chip or crack.

So always make sure to set the drill to rotary mode before starting.

We recommend that the CORDLESS is not used for drilling concrete and similar very hardmaterials, as such jobs normally require impact action.

MORE FLUTE CAPACITY

The double flute has been designed with sufficient capacity to clear away the drilling dust even at low RPM drilling.

The drill bit will not clog or jam.



CERAMIC TILESThe CORDLESS is ideal for drilling ceramic tiles up to a scratch hardness of 8.

Due to the unique 4-face point grinding the drill bit will not walk - tape or centre punching is no longer needed.

The diamond ground CORDLESS cuts nice, clean holes with no or very little chipping.



CERAMIC TILES Wall Tiles - Floor Tiles - Roof tiles with a scratch hardness higher than 8 must be drilled with great care:

Start with an Ø 4 mm CORDLESS drill bit , use very low speed (2 - 300 RPM). If possible use water as a coolant.

Once the Ø 4 mm hole has been drilled, you enlarge the hole to Ø 5 - 5.5 - 6 mm, or whatever hole size you need for your fixing. Coolant is not necessary.



COMBINED DRILLING INTO WOOD AND BRICKWORK The CORDLESS drill bit is excellent for suchdrilling jobs, where you drill through wood into brickwork. Only one drill bit is needed to do the job.

METALThe CORDLESS is not designed to drill soft steel, but will drill sheet metal up to a thickness of app. 1.5 mm.

If used in a pillar machine (drill press) the CORDLESS can be used for drilling hard materials like hardened steel and cast iron.
