Collection of my opinions concerning this course

• I learned about different kinds of personal profiles and how to do them. I also did a slideshow presentation about myself. This was fun because it’s a fun and creative way to create a professional looking profile for example for your job application. I had never heard about this kind of an application so it gave me good expectations about the course.

Myspace

• Never knew how many things you can do there!

• Post Bulletins, Keep In Touch With Old Friends,Meet New Friends etc...

Laurea guidelines

• The part about Laurea guidelines was boring.

• Not much new information

• Although useful, could if given more to reader.

• Very good site

• social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks

• Probably the most interesting individual part of the course

What was good about the course

• Lots of new tools

• Interesting new way of collecting people together in Optima

• The returning of the tasks was made easy and the tasks were clearly given

What should have been done differenly

• Mandatory communication between students

• There was lots of problems with the connections, such as echoeing, teacher losing her connection, not getting the mics to work or sharing screens etc.

• Tasks that should have been done before each online session

• www.facebook.com, very easy way to gather lots of friends to talk with. Demands lots of personal information and has security issues.

• www.linkedin.com list of contact details of people with whom they have some level of relationship, called Connections. Users can invite anyone (whether a site user or not) to become a connection

• www.docs.google.com allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users

• www.wikipedia.com a site where everyone can add or delete information. Huge amount of knowledge with various languages.

• www.naurunappula.fi a site where people can add funny pictures videos or flash videos.
