OPENE MINDIsrael Trouillefou

Imagine opening your eyes for the very first timeafter living with them sewn shut for years

by your own accord...by angry words... by painNow the sights are overwhelming and it is a struggleto try and take it all in as it comes to you at a millionmiles an hour in every color and every shade therein

What you thought you knew shatters your world

Your heart may feel it will burst as your mind nearly shuts down desperately trying to sort the images

shot out of life's multiple cannons in sequential roundsThere is no time to reject or judge and no way to label

Colors swirling around your head are relentlessand fill you to the brim with their fire and dance

But out of the crowd of dashing lights is a single strobe

A softer glow gently pulsating against the grain of spilledpaint splatters and garish pretentious vivid flashes

This light... this color is simple...pure...curious...It does not move with the pace of the rest nor does

it keep a single tone...instead... a gentle beating pulse

You can not take your eyes away and it seems the only light you now see as the others fade into the walls

of the tunnel that frames the glow in the center of your mind

It draws you near and you follow...it reveals everything but offers no answers...and no clues...yet it is so very familiar

And the closer you approach the more vibrant it becomesuntil it fills your entire sense of living...breathing...and being

now....what is the light to you?
