The Situation
A Fortune 1000 office equipment company needed to upgrade their
outdated customer service software application suite. The legacy systems
were green screen terminals hosted by a large mainframe, and the
company wanted to replace all service modules with more current
technology and a more robust user-definable application. The customer
was also growing their business both organically and through acquisitions,
and needed a solution that was flexible and easy to expand.
During the company's initial vendor search process, they determined that
no „off-the-shelf‟ software package could handle their needs. The
company chose CSDP based on the flexible and easy to customize SRM ©
software solution as well as CSDP's understanding of their business and
technical needs.
The Solution
CSDP‟s SRM © solution consisted of four parts: software licenses, consulting
services, data conversion development, and development services. The
schedule was to implement all four solutions within one year. CSDP worked
directly with the client‟s business team to develop milestones and goals for
the application development and configuration. CSDP also worked closely
with their I/T team to develop standards, structure, and project
management goals. This approach ensured ongoing and open
communication, and kept the solution on track.
The Result
The system launched successfully on time and under budget. The
applications were all consolidated as required and the integration was
seamless. After initial implementation, the CSDP team was available at all
times to include on site personnel in a number of locations. Once possible,
the client implemented a self-maintenance program with CSDP providing
training and third level support.
