Setting up File Sharing on Windows
To make this computer available
for file sharing, Click on the Windows Start
Button.
Type in the search box “Sharing” and click on “Manage advance sharing
settings”.

Make sure “Turn on network discovery” and “Turn on file and print
sharing” is enabled.
It is also recommended that “Turn on password protection sharing” is
enabled.

Create a User Account
Go to control panel to create an account so user can access
share folders on this computer. This is required is you have
enabled password protection.

Select “Add or remove user accounts”.

Add a name and then select “Create
Account”.

Select the account you just created and then select
“Create a password”.

Sharing a Folder

Right click on the folder you would like share and
select “Specific people...”
Select the user you want to have access to the shared
folder and then click “Add” and then “Share”.

Right click the folder again and select
“Properties”
Next, select the “Sharing” tab.

Select “Advanced Sharing…”.
Check the “Share this folder” and the select
“OK”.

Double-click the computer you would like to access shares
and provide the username and
passwordClick on “Network” to list the
computers on your Pertino
network.
Here are the files in the Share folder.
