Nowadays most of the metering devices like water meter, energy meter, gas meter, solar inverters and other sensors comes with digital or serial output.

Wired to wireless converters converts the output from these devices to various wireless forms like GPRS (2G/3G)/ Wi-Fi/ LoRa.

This wireless adapter is broadly classified into two types ◦ Pulse adapter

◦ MODBUS adapter

Pulse adapter : ◦ These adapters take the digital pulse as input and converts it to the wireless form.

◦ E.g. Water meter and gas meter which has digital pulse as output.

MODBUS adapter : ◦ These adapter take RS485 or RS232 as input and converts it to wireless form
