Negative Impacts of Gaming

People who are addicted to video games do not go to work (or school), do not eat properly and do not exercise enough.

Playing video games (even on the Wii) does not constitute a proper physical workout.

Some people can become desensitized to violence when they are exposed to a lot of violent video games. There have been reports of criminals copying violent video game crimes (such as Grand Theft Auto series).

It can give people false expectations of real life, as real life cannot be perfectly simulated by video games.

Conclusion

• Ultimately we are promoting on the advantages of gaming instead on dwelling on the disadvantages

• Even though the disadvantages may seem glaring compared to the advantages, nevertheless, the advantages should not be ignored

• From the survey, it shows that more than half of the people surveyed spent a lot of time playing games

• Therefore, if all of us take precaution, gaming will bring out more of the advantages instead of the disadvantages
