Data is collected on and then reported at the national, regional, and state levels for a number of items, including: volunteers (age 16 and older) who served through or with
an organization; volunteer hours served; volunteer statistics for demographic subgroups defined by
race, ethnicity, gender and age; volunteer statistics for specialized populations, such as
Baby Boomers and college students types of organizations where individuals volunteer; and activities performed by volunteers.
