Creating a CV Repository

System Design

Since the expansion of the European

Union, many countries behind the iron

curtain joined a diverse society, in many

aspects different from the old

communistic system. A totally new labor

market was introduced for these people,

in a new world where competitive

economy rules and people work and

keep their jobs based on their merits.

System Design

The ability of a new employee to

penetrate the new market is limited on

his language, professional and means to

apply and be selected for a new job.

What we propose is a system that will

ease the access for an employee to this

new market and give managers a tool

that will find the best candidates for a

new job opening.

System Design

We propose a web based system which

will work on the concept of a social

network connecting employees and

employers. Employees will be able to

upload their CV’s on this site, and

employers will have a repository that will

help them search for best fitted

candidates.

Since not all candidates know what a

CV looks like, our system will offer them

an easy to use web based wizard which

will guide them through all the steps of

creating a professional looking CV. This

wizard will gather important information.

Connect the employer and the

employees

In this website we will sort the employee

based on their profession and based on

their level of education and also we will

help the employer by giving them a

search form, where the employer could

type the specific search and there will be

displayed a simple webpage with the

best matches from the search

The next step will consist of employees

of personal skills. With this part we

encourage the employee to specify their

skills and based on different fields. Such

as list of languages they understand,

speak and write, Social skills,

Organisational skills, Technical skills,

Computer skills.

Implementation

Technically we will implement this

solution using open source web based

technologies. As a database backend

we can use MySql or PostgreSql. On the

server side, the system will be

programmed using PHP and hosted on

an Apache server.

Intelligent system

A traditional labor market system will

only work as a web site that will list

employers and candidates. Employers

will need to manually process CV’s and

contact appropriate candidates.

We propose to develop an intelligent

system which will automatically analyze

CV’s and try to automatically connect

the best employer – employee pairs
