Data from REDMAP, combined with ongoingpollution prevention efforts, are enabling plantoperators to optimize the biological treatmentactivity to reduce the amount of toxic sludgegenerated, which was reduced 60 percent in oneyear, despite wastewater volume increases.

Data analysis from REDMAP’s Up StreamMonitoring System enabled operators to save400,000 gallons of water per day in unnecessaryflows from one of the plant’s production areas,saving money and a valuable resource, but alsoimproving the operational efficiency of thewastewater treatment plant.
