Know-howOur luminaires are designed to meet any requirement for lighting urban and suburban areas, with energy saving, limitation of impact on the environment and excellent visual comfort.

LampsThe use of innovative lamps such as LEDs and the cosmowhite CPO-TW (a metal halide discharge lamp) allows the optimisation of energy consumption and a reduction in the level of CO2

emissions compared with conventional lamps.

High-performance opticsTechnological development in the production of increasingly high-performance optics has a significant effect in terms of energy saving.Their efficiency allows increases in the distance between one element (pole) and another, in the case of a new system, or a reduction (the performance being equal) in the wattage of the lamps.

Light pollutionLight pollution is produced by “useless” light, meaning the portion of light flux dispersed upwards or towards areas for which no kind of lighting is requested. Often energy waste amounts to 30% of the distributed energy. It is therefore crucial to choose lighting fixtures with controlled photometric distribution in such a way to generate “useful light” only.

Recyclability of materialsiGuzzini luminaires are designed according to “eco-design” criteria at each stage of the “lifecycle”.• Lasting materials (aluminium, glass, etc.).• Easy disassembly and recovery of materials.

Developed from a special project for the Venaria Reale palace, this luminaire meets the requirement of optimising distribution of the light flow on roads and public spaces where moderate-speed vehicle traffic exists alongside pedestrians; situations found in squares, urban roads and parks, in car parks and in the service areas of shopping centres.

Designing a luminaire was quite an easy job in past times. First of all, the lamp was placed, something was designed around it and, more or less, the luminaire was created. If the lamp was directed downwards, it was normally a pendant luminaire, if it was turned up, a floor lamp was designed. Today, everything is more complicated with LEDs. LEDs don’t have a shape; LEDs are nothing, just an irreverent, persistent, and disturbing light beam that penetrates your eyes as a drill bit. Strangely enough, with the arrival of LEDs, the issue of light is diverging more and more from the simple design of a luminaire. Light must be treated as an installation. Not as a mysterious installation, where light appears from an unknown source, but as a situation in which the relation between objects, light, and luminous objects defines the features of the setting. And this is even more important in the urban scenario. While indoors the luminaire is confronted with a layout defined by taste, culture and personal preference, in urban spaces each object must confront with public opinion, architecture and public spaces: streets, old monuments, and modern buildings. Contemporaneity and history at the same time. This is the game, the challenge: to imagine something that works both with historical and contemporaneous architecture. […] There is a great difference between a project and a product: beautiful projects are not always beautiful products, and vice versa. For sure, this is a great time to design luminaires. Everywhere in the world we question ourselves on how the luminaires of the future will look like. So far nobody has designed a luminaire that is not indebted to the old lamps. We are still missing a luminaire that is entirely designed around LEDs, together with a project that interprets our time and the new technology at best. And yet, LEDs are undoubtedly the light source of the future and in a short time we won’t be able to do without them. […]

Light without shades Versions with symmetrical optic fitted with HIT G12 and Cosmowhite lamps have an optic which includes flow recovery devices: this system intercepts part of the light flow emitted by the lamp and directs it towards the shadow zones on the ground created by the arms.

LEDEnergy saving policies have acquired a central role also in the lighting sector, not only for the economic advantages, but also for the environmental benefits derived from them. The use of the innovative optic with LED technology, which ensures the same level of illumination and uniformity as conventional light sources with lower power, together with intelligent electronics and twilight photocell to regulate the switch-on of the lampby taking full advantage of daylight, allows iGuzzini innovative optics to deliver efficient lighting in urban streets and areas, while guaranteeing maximum energy saving and considerable reduction of CO2 emission in the atmosphere.

Street is designed for lighting urban areas with moderate vehicle and pedestrian traffic, has a basic design and offers excellent lighting engineering performance.It can even be installed on existing systems, both as a pole-top attachment and on poles with a curved arm having a 46 to 76 mm diameter end piece.

All of the luminaires are equipped with a patented system for adjusting the lamp in up to 7 positions to optimise the light flow depending on the type of geometry of the area to be lit. The distribution of the flow may be gradually adjusted longitudinally to

achieve greater separating distances, for example on cycle paths, or transversally to light deeper spaces (wide streets) or adapt to pole installations. It can also be adapted in installations where the position of the pole is particularly set back from the road.

SaFeTY SealSIn order to guarantee operation and safety, public boards have established specific standards which protect the end user against risks. iGuzzini illuminazione in line with its policy of quality and safety, makes products which comply to these standards.The non-electrified components of the system (such as cover plates, couplings, etc.) cannot be considered as lighting fixtures and thereforeare not included in the standards used by the Quality Seal Institutes for their classification.However, all the components of the certified systems have been tested by the said Institutesto ensure compatibility and safety.The luminaires in the iGuzzini collection are designed in conformance with European standardsEN 60598-1 and more specific ones, therefore meeting these requirements in full, includingthe maximum temperatures allowed and considering the ambient temperature to be 25°C.For those countries or areas where the luminaires are to be installed with thermal and microclimatic references which are different from those foreseen (e.g.: swimming pools,premises subject to the risk of explosion, etc…), we invite you to contact us. For the correct installation of the luminaires, always consult the instruction sheet provided with the product.

GuaraNTeeiGuzzini warrants that their products are free from any defect in manufacturing and/or material in case of proper use, for a period of five years from the date of the invoice prior to online registration at www.iguzzini.com and acceptance of specific conditions. In any case, iGuzzini recognises the warranty rights foreseen by the law.
