FIELD - MOUElevating the Quality of Life in the District

Field Use
• DCPS has jurisdiction over the field � Lafayette ES has first priority for use of the field
• Lafayette ES – 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM - Monday through Friday
• DPR – 5:00 PM until times indicated on permits – Monday through Friday
• DPR – X:00AM - Y:00 PM Saturday and Sunday
• Lafayette will provide a schedule of events to be included as an addendum for the MOU.
• Special School Events
o October 15, 2016 – Fall Festival
o April 21, 2017 – Spring Fair
o June 3, 2017 – Field Day
• DPR requires 30 days notice for Lafayette ES’s unscheduled use of the field.
• DPR is open to allocating “open field time” for the community. Requests must be coordinated through the
appropriate ANCs.
• Field may be closed due to weather conditions.
• DPR will not alter, change add to or improve the field.
• Leagues will be allowed to secure portable bathrooms for use during games, to be removed after each game.

Special Conditions
• New walking track – DPR permit will include wording to advises users of the field to treat the new track
with care.
• Stormwater management and sprinkler systems – location of underground infrastructure and sprinkler
controlling system. DPR will include a permit provision that prohibits staking in the field.
Field Maintenance
• DGS is responsible for field maintenance.
• DPR will exert all efforts to treat the field respectfully.

New drains pick up water from hillside and fields
Deposits water to new connection at 33rd Street (shared with school storm water)
Treats water using the following
