STEPS TO APPLY FOR US VISA

1) Select your type of visa that you go to request.

2) Fill out the form (DS-160)3) Cancel the rights of visa

application and schedule appointments to attend the CAS for your interview.

4) Report to the CAS you selected (Bogotá or Medellin) on the date and time of your interview, for taking photograph and fingerprints.

5) Report to the Immigrant Visa Unit of the US Embassy in Bogota on the date and time of your interview.

6) Claim your passport with visa at the DHL office or the CAS that you selected in Step three.

Fill out the form (DS-160)

• is an online application to process a nonimmigrant visa for the United States. This

form is in English with translation into Spanish. The DS-160 is electronically sent to the Embassy of the United States. At the time of the interview,

the consular officer will enter this form to determine if you are eligible to receive a

nonimmigrant visa.Note: All visa applicants must fill out this form

except K visa applicants who must fill out the DS-156 form.

CANCEL THE RIGHTS OF VISA APPLICATION AND SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS TO ATTEND THE CAS

FOR YOUR INTERVIEW.• you must choose the DHL office to send your

passport. Keep for steps 4 and 5.

REPORT TO THE CAS YOU SELECTED (BOGOTÁ OR MEDELLIN) ON THE DATE AND TIME OF YOUR INTERVIEW, FOR

TAKING PHOTOGRAPH AND FINGERPRINTS.

• Visa applicants must present their valid passport and confirmation sheet DS-

160.
