Tired of unsolicited calls during your weekend? Have you been pissed off by those calls in the evening? If so, you can get rid of those calls by now.

If you’re familiar with the National Do Not Call Registry, then problem solved.

The National Do Not Call Registry is a list of individuals or personal telephone numbers that are restricted to telemarketers in some countries. These lists of

phone numbers are registered by the consumer to imply that they don’t want to receive unsolicited calls from telemarketers.

The nation’s consumer protection authority, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) handles the do-not-call register. The FTC, along with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) implements the Do Not Call Registry.

The National Do Not call Registry give choices to the consumer on how they want their phone number be regulated for the unsolicited calls.

Any business or individual that makes a telemarketing call to a number on the Do Not Call Registry, may be in the break of the Act and could confront punishments and enforceable endeavors.

This rule may affect the flow of the telemarketing. Since this kind of marketing strategy requires to nail sales and leads.

But, no need to worry so much for the team telemarketers. Telemarketers covered by this regulation has 31 days to restrain from calling their customers. It depends upon the customer on how long he would want to be under the registry. As long as the customer is still on the registry, it’ time for telemarketers to back off for a while. Unless otherwise, complaints will be knocking on their door.

This act does not totally forbid the telemarketers from doing their job.

The Do-Not-Call Registry supplied provisions for the sake of both parties- the consumer and the telemarketing business.

This act doesn't include the following matters:

Calls which you have actually permitted Calls from your partner companies Calls from non-profit organizations Calls which are not business-related or do exclude

spontaneous commercials

Both the telemarketer and consumer can register for the Do Not Call Registry. Once the telemarketer already created its account they can check the telephone numbers they have to make sure if it is included in the Do Not Call Registry.

Indeed, telemarketing is one of the lucrative strategy to promote your brand or even the company itself. But there are cases, that people do not like this kind of marketing strategy. They find it disturbing and annoying… sometimes.

The telemarketer and the customer have their own reasons regarding the issue, that’s why it is important that there must be rules to be set in between, so that everything would be organized and prevent serious mistakes and misunderstanding.

Though it’s quite inevitable, telemarketing business would not have trouble in dealing with unsolicited calls, if carried out properly.
