Adult Programs
Class Descriptions Silver Sneakers-Classic (MSROM)-
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exer-cises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement to assist with daily living skills. Hand held
weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for sitting and /or stand-
ing support.
Silver Sneakers-Yoga Stretch-
Move your body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely per-form a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility,
balance, and range of motion. Breathing exercises and fi-nal relaxation will promote tress reduction and mental
clarity.
Silver Sneakers- SilverSplash-
A shallow-water exercise class that uses a signature splash-
board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash
is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers.
The pool provides many benefits when used for aerobic
exercise and resistance training.
Beach Volleyball-
Have fun in a competitive
game of beach volleyball. In-

The Pink Ladies Baton Corps of Berea, Ohio teaches baton twirling classes at the recreational and competitive levels to girls ages 4 and up.
We perform at special events like parades, festivals, fundraisers, and half-time shows. Our twirlers come from cities all across NE Ohio.

Family & Youth Initiative Quarry Kids Adventures
Starting: Sept. 11 Ages: 2-5 Cost: $3 drop-in fee or purchase a Quarry Kids punch card.
Starting in September, our hugely popular Quarry Kids program led by everyone’s favorite Mr. Terry will be back in session. Have fun, play games, learn and attend a couple of events throughout the year. Sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Berea Recreation Center.
Basketball Cheerleading December – February Grades: K-5th
Cost: $ 45 if registered by Sunday, Oct. 14 After Oct. 14 Cost: $55 No registration will be accepted after Nov. 1
Cheerleading is back again at the Berea Recreation Center for the upcoming basketball season. Registration will open in September and run through October. Girls will cheer dur-ing games and perform at halftime! Shirts, shorts and bows will be provided to all partici-pants. We are looking for volunteer coaches for all age groups. Valentine Theatre: Enjoy the grandeur of Toledo’s Historic Valentine Theatre. This magnificent theater reo-pened its doors in Oct. 1999 after extensive renovations. The historic lobby were restored to look as they did in 1895.
Tony Packo’s Café: No trip to Toledo would be com-plete without a stop at the legendary Tony Packo’s, made famous by the hit TV show M*A*S*H. Enjoy lunch while browsing the celebrity signed hot dog buns displayed on café walls. Along with the world-famous hot dog, other Hungarian specialties are offered.
Libbey Glass Factory Outlet: Visit the outlet store named after Edward Drummund Libbey, the key player in creating a glass dynasty in Toledo. The store offers 16,000 square feet of glassware, dinnerware, flatware, glass gift-ware, candles and accessories.
Glass Pavilion at Toledo Museum of Art: Opened in 2006, the 74,000 square –foot postmodern Glass Pavilion is home to TMA’s world-renowned glass collection that was started by Edward Drummond Libbey. Glass blowing demonstrations offered daily.
Policies for Cancellation of Bus Trips: If you have already paid for a bus trip and decide to cancel your
reservation, you must do so at least one week prior to the scheduled
bus trip in order to receive a credit. You will not be reimbursed for
the trip, but will receive a credit that can be applied toward the next
bus trip. This credit is valid for only one year from the date of the
cancellation. If the next bus trip you attend costs more than what
you previously paid, you will be responsible for the remainder of
the cost. However, if the trip costs less than what you previously
paid, you will NOT be reimbursed the difference. If you have any
questions regarding how the credit works or to cancel your reserva-
tion, please call the Active Senior Network.

WALKING CLUB “Walkie Talkies”
If you like to be outdoors and stay in shape, then this is the group for
you! The Walking Club will meet rain or shine every Thursday at differ-
ent locations for eight weeks. Walking and talking are a perfect combi-
nation! Sign up and get the walking routes to become a member. Any-
one can join at anytime, but please call first to find out where the group
will be meeting.

Movie: “World Trade Center” PG 13 Starring: Nocolas Cage, Michael Ponti Drama/History/Thriller
On Sept. 11, 2001, after the terrorist attack to the World Trade Center, the building collapses over the rescue team from the Port Authority Police Department. Will Jimeno and his sergeant John McLoughlin are found alive trapped under the wreckage while the rescue teams fight to save them.
A box lunch is available. Pay and give your lunch order one week in advance. You may drop your money off in the Active Senior Network drop box or the Active Senior Network Office.
Box lunches are from Café Ah Roma. The sandwich choices are: Ham, turkey, veggie, chicken salad, or tuna salad.
