About the ProgramOur camp uses theatre arts to build confidence, self-esteem and teamwork, encouraging creativity and imagination. Participants learn to work cooperatively with each other and with professional staff – right in the theater.The classes are in a safe supervised environment withprofessional instructors. Though it is a performing arts camp; there is no show at the end. Each week a presen-tation is performed for family and friends based on what the students have been studying during the week.The presentation achieves the same experience of speak-ing and performing confidently in public. Each student is able to perform at their own comfort level, allowing them to grow and gain confidence each week without being locked into a show. Eliminating a production allows the teachers to focus more attention and training on each individual student. It is not necessary for a stu-dent to have any experience in the arts to come to camp.

FacultyAll teachers are professionals in the arts who also have experience in working with and teaching young people. Teachers are engaged and supervised by Semina De Laurentis, Artistic Director of Seven Angels Theatre.

Types of ClassesDaily classes in Theatre (scene study, theatre games,improvisation, Shakespeare), Music/Voice and Movement/Dance. Specialty classes in writing, technology and design.

ScheduleStudents meet Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm, with a presentation each Friday at 2pm.

FacilityClasses take place at Seven Angels Theatre inside the historic Hamilton Park Pavilion in the center of Hamilton Park on Plank Road in Waterbury. The pavilion offers a wonderful setting for students to study.

Additional BenefitsAll Seven Angels Theatre students attend Mainstage shows and Children’s Theatre performances for free.

RegistrationClasses are limited in size and will fill up quickly, so register early! Simply complete both sides of the registration form and return to Seven Angels Theatre with a $75 non-refundable deposit. The tuition balance is due by June 30, 2011. Registration after June 30 requires payment of tuition in full. Please make checks payable to Seven Angels Theatre.

Dear Applicant,In 1992 Seven Angels Theatre, the only Equity professional theatre in the region, established the first professional Summer Theatre Camp

for youth. Our award winning youth programs for ages 7-18 have been praised and recognized for our philosophy of education in the arts. We work to empower young people to find their own voice and express themselves through the medium of theatre. Since 1992, hundreds of students have gone on to use their skills gained from our camp to pursue their dreams in a variety of exciting careers. While other professional theatre camps can be very costly, we are proud to have made our programs affordable. We look forward to many more years of dynamic and creative fun.
