Jason Banks, Lighting / Sound/Projection Designer / Video Systems Con-sultant, is entering his fifth year as a lecturer at UW and his fourth season with Snowy Range Summer Theatre. Professional credits include lighting director in concert for SMASH MOUTH and BOYZ II MEN and CANDLEBOX. Live production work includes a wide array of work, such as design for concerts, operas, dance, musical theatre, and text-based performance. Jason is proud to maintain the tradition of SRST during these challenging times and looks for-ward to a new world of performing arts as we move forward from the past year.

Cameron Bullard, Carpenter / Scenic Artist / Electrician / Run Crew, is a junior at UW working towards a BFA in Design/Technical Management, with which he plans to pursue a career in the scenic design field, either in cinema or the theatre industry. In addition to his passion for scenic carpentry, he also has ties to the music industry and hopes that he can incorporate his hobby in music production into his career field, be it lighting, stage design, or performance. Cameron is a patron of all the ats—from music and art to theatre and literature, but is now shifting his priorities into thee theatre industry. He will officially make his Theatre Tech debut with the 2021 Snowy Range Summer Theatre.

Alexander Brown, Sound Monitor Mixer / Assistant Sound Engineer, is a third-year student at UW studying technical theatre with an emphasis in sound design/engineering and projection design. He has worked in the scene shop as a carpenter and electrician and designed several shows. His first sound design was for 29: A SONG CYCLE, where he sourced and recorded sound effects. He then was recruited to be sound designer/engineer for THE DOLLS OF NEW ALBION: A STEAMPUNK OPERA, for which he recorded and edited performers’ vocals.

Mary Dyson, Performer, ALL IN THETIMING, joins Snowy Range Summer Theatre for the second time after appearing in 2020’s collaborative online pro-duction GOD OF CARNAGE. Next fall, she will be a senior at UW studying Theatre and Dance with a concentration in performance/acting and plans to graduate in Spring 2022! She has been involved with eight main stage produc-tions at UW and studied abroad in London in 2020 (which unfortunately only lasted two months). She looks forward to finally working in person with every-one and can’t wait for you to enjoy the show!

Ben Boyd, Video Supervisor & Programmer / Master Electrician, is working towards a BFA in Design/Technical Management with a focus in pro-jection and lighting design. At UW Ben has worked as both master electrician and carpenter in the Department of Theatre & Dance Scene Shop and on productions such as THE DOLLS OF NEW ALBION: A STEAMPUNK OPERA, where he served as both video editor and cinematographer. Ben looks forward to the new opportunities that have been created by combining live and recorded theatre.

Jack Chapman, Senior Office Associate, has been with UW Theatre & Dance for 21 years. He spent 24 years in the Air Force working in Administration and Person-nel, retiring in 2000. He made his acting debut in fall 2002 as “Bailiff” in the THE SCOPES MONKEY TRIAL, written and directed by William Missouri Downs and played “Neville the Big Dog” in the summer 2004 production of MR. A’S AMAZ-ING MAZE PLAYS. He and wife Sherri have three children, Michael, Gregory, and Nicole, and six granddaughters, Ivy, Ella, Jaycie, Roma, Rosalee, and Rori.

Amanda Biggs, BCPA Box Office Manager, originally hails from St. Louis, MO, and moved to Laramie in 2015. She has been working for the Performing Arts Box Office ever since. Amanda received her Bachelor’s degree from the UW and her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Riverside. When she’s not selling tickets, you can find her working on screenplays, per-forming standup comedy, or searching for the best slice of cheesecake in town.

Anne Mason, Performer / Director, is Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Relative Theatrics, where she has acted in, directed, designed, and produced over 35 productions. A Laramie native, Anne holds a BFA in Theatre Perfor-mance from UW and has worked professionally with Capital Stage Company, Sacramento Music Circus, Missoula Children’s Theatre, Snowy Range Summer Theatre, and the University of Wyoming. She was named one of Laramie’s 2016 20-Under-40 Young Professionals, was a Wyoming Governor’s Arts Awards Nom-inee (2019), a Wyoming Women of Influence Nominee in 2020, a 2020/21 Per-

forming Arts Fellow with the Wyoming Arts Council, and a 2021 UW Alumni Foundation Rising Alumni recipient. Anne is grateful for the opportunity to perform in THE LAST FIVE YEARS, and over the moon to return to live theatre as director of ALL IN THE TIMING. It’s great to be back!

Amanda Lydon, Master Electrician/ Scenic Artist / Carpenter / Run Crew, is from Colorado Springs, CO, and enjoys skiing with her family and reading. In high school, she worked on the technical side of a number of musicals and plays. She is now a junior at UW majoring in Theatre and Dance with a concentration in Design/Technical Management. This year, she was Lighting Designer for THE DOLLS OF NEW ALBION: A STEAMPUNK OPERA and Assistant Stage Man-ager for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (SOCIALLY DISTANCED).

Andrew Lia, Asst. Technical Director / Production Stage Manager, has been active in Los Angeles as a Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Lighting Designer since 2011, working with companies such as Center Theatre Group, The Speakeasy Society, East West Players, Circle X Theatre Company, Ghost Road Company, and at educational institutions such as Oxy Arts, The Lee Stras-berg Theatre & Film Institute, American Musical & Dramatic Academy, and Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre. He also worked as Project Manager for Tait Towers overseeing installation of automation elements for Shanghai Disneyland’s Fantasmic 2.0!!, and Facebook’s MPK21 Event Space. A Chicago native, Andrew holds a BA from Augustana College and an MFA from CalArts.

Kathy I. Kirkaldie, Publicity / Marketintg / House Management is the Fine Arts Coordinator for UW Fine and Performing Arts, and has worked as a writer/editor, grantwriter, publicist, freelance writer, archivist, and youth leader. Selected acting credits include THE CHILDREN’S HOUR, BURIED CHILD, SHEAR MADNESS, CRIMES OF THE HEART, and DEATH OF A SALESMAN, but Kathy’s favorite productions to date have been her daughters, Claire and Grace, and her son, Benjamin.

Carlee Goyn, Business Manager, manages the staff center at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts, overseeing financial operations and human resources. Carlee holds an MBA from UW as well as an SPHR certification.

Jenny Foldenauer, Costume Designer, is an assistant professor in costume de-sign at UW Theatre & Dance. She designed the 2020-2021 academic year’s productions of: ASKING STRANGERS THE MEANING OF LIFE, 29: A SONG CYCLE, and SHE KILL’S MONSTERS: VIRTUAL REALMS. Katarina Tyler, Performer, ALL IN THE TIMING, graduates from UW in Spring 2022 with a BFA in Performance. You may remember her from UW pro-ductions such as AS YOU LIKE IT and BROTHERS OF THE TIBER, or as Daisy in Relative Theatrics’s WANDA, DAISY, AND THE GREAT RAPTURE. This is her first season with Snowy Range Summer Theatre and she is ecstatic to be back onstage in person and creating again! Kat would like to extend a special thank you to the faculty in UW Theatre & Dance for their commitment to students and art even in the worst of times, and to her sisters, for teaching her how to be brave.

Aubree Tafoya, Performer, ALL IN THE TIMING, is going into her senior year at UW, finishing up her BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. You may have seen her in some recent shows at UW such as AS YOU LIKE IT, 29: A SONG CYCLE, BROTHERS OF THE TIBER, and EURYDICE. This is her first season performing with Snowy Range Summer Theatre, and she is so ex-cited to be making art again! Special thanks to the UW Theatre & Dance faculty for always maximizing the experiences we have in our department.

Seán Stone, Director / Musical Director / Editor, is the creator of the award-winning musicals GOOD MORNING ATHENS and BE LIKE JOE. Other musicals include RAINY DAY PEOPLE and SONG OF THE SEA. When he isn’t writing and composing, Seán also works as an actor, musical director, pianist, and remixer, and his music has been featured at The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Center, and The Weston Playhouse, among others.

Don Turner, Sound Engineer, Don has been with the Department of Theatre and Dance for 20+ years working as the shop foremen in the scene shop where he builds sets and mentors and trains student carpenters. He has had his hands in almost every Theatre and Dance production during that time. He also enjoys serving as the sound designer on productions or as the live sound engineer for musicals.

Scott Tedmon-Jones, Artistic Director/Scenic Designer/Technical Director, a 2001 UW alumnus, is finishing his third year as an assistant professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance and is excited to be serving as Artistic Di-rector for Snowy Range Summer Theatre for the second time. Recent designs include A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT DREAM (SOCALLY DISTANCED), PRESENT LAUGHTER, WONDERLAND: ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPACE, THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM, RHI-NOCEROS, and THE TENDER LAND. Brianna Perry, Costume Designer, THE LAST FIVE YEARS / Costume As-sistant / Performer, ALL IN THE TIMING, is a junior in Performance / Design who earned an A.A in Theatre from LCCC before coming to UW. She is excited to perform and work as a costume designer/assistant in her first year with Snowy Range Summer Theatre. She has appeared in AS YOU LIKE IT and ASKING STRANGERS THE MEANING OF LIFE and served as assistant costume design-er for 29: A SONG CYCLE and associate costume designer for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (SOCIALLY DISTANCED). She has enjoyed her time at UW and appreciates her professors and peers for being so welcoming this past year.

DeeLynn Miller, Performer, ALL IN THE TIMING / THE LAST FIVE YEARS, is a UW student earing his BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. He previously earned an A.A from WWCC. He has worked with several productions at the UW and in the Laramie community, including I AM MY OWN WIFE, PRESENT LAUGHTER, EURYDICE, and MAN UP. He is grateful to have the opportunity to work with an amazing company of actors and creative team bring-ing this production to life and hopes the Laramie community will enjoy the show.

Megan Wilson, Stage Manager, is thrilled to be stage managing her first sea-son at Snowy Range Summer Theatre. She just finished her second year in pursuit of a BFA at UW Theatre & Dance, with a concentration in Design/Technical Management. Megan has stage managed a handful of shows, including ASKING STRANGERS THE MEANING OF LIFE and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (SOCIALLY DISTANCED). She is extremely passionate about learning and strives to be dedicated in everything she commits her time to.

Margaret Wilson, Department Head, is Professor of Dance at UW. She bal-ances her creative practice and research drawing inspiration from literature and poetry, visual art, biomechanics, somatics and pedagogy – in collaborative artis-tic exploration. She instituted the vertical dance and dance sciences programs at UW, has won numerous teaching, research, and advising awards, serves as an as-sistant director for the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival on a rotating basis, and actively conducts research in kinesiology, biomechanics, and the interface of art and science in teaching and training dancers.

Bryan Wolfe, Carpenter / Scenic Artist / Electrician / Run Crew, is a Dance Performance major entering into his senior year at UW. He has worked in technical theatre since he was in high school. He eventually would like to use his knowledge in technical theatre and as a choreographer in dance. He has worked as the media designer for SOCIAL MOTION at Casper Col-lege. He has been an intern under Peter Jakubowski for the Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival, as well as worked with him on multiple shows.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHTDavid Ives (Playwright ALL IN THE TIMING), is perhaps best known for his evening of one-act plays, ALL IN THE TIMING (he has been included in the “Best Short Plays” series seven times), and for his drama VENUS IN FUR, which was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play. His plays include NEW JERU-SALEM: THE INTERROGATION OF BARUCH DE SPINOZA; THE SCHOOL FOR LIES (adapted from Molière’s THE MISANTHROPE); THE LIAR (adapted from Corneille); TIME FLIES; and IS HE DEAD? (adapt-ed from Mark Twain). He has also translated Feydeau’s A FLEA IN HER EAR and Yasmina Reza’s A SPANISH PLAY. A former Guggenheim Fellow in play-writing and a graduate of The Yale School of Drama, he lives in New York City.

Jason Robert Brown has been hailed as “one of Broadway’s smartest and most sophisticated songwriters since Stephen Sondheim” (Philadelphia Inquirer), and his “extraordinary, jubilant theater music” (Chicago Tribune) has been heard all over the world, whether in one of the hundreds of productions of his musicals every year or in his own incendiary live performanc-es. Future projects include a new chamber musical created with Daisy Prince and Jonathan Marc Sherman called THE CONNECTOR; an adaptation of Lilian Lee’s FAREWELL MY CONCUBINE, created with Kenneth Lin and Moisés Kaufman; and a collaboration with Billy Crystal, Amanda Green, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel on a musical of MR. SAT-URDAY NIGHT. Jason is the winner of the 2018 Louis Auchincloss Prize, the 2002 Kleban Award for Outstanding Lyrics and the 1996 Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Foundation Award for Musical Theatre. Jason’s songs, including the cabaret standard “Stars and the Moon,” have been performed and recorded by Ariana Grande, Audra McDonald, Kristin Chenoweth, Billy Porter, Betty Buckley, Renée Fleming, Jon Hendricks and many others, and his song “Some-one To Fall Back On” was featured in the Walden Media film, BANDSLAM. As a soloist or with his band The Caucasian Rhythm Kings, Jason has performed concerts around the world. For the past four years (and ongoing), his monthly sold-out performances at New York’s SubCulture have featured many of the music and theater world’s most extraordinary performers. His newest collection, “How We React and How We Recover”, was released in June 2018 on Ghostlight Records. His previous solo album, “Wearing Someone Else’s Clothes”, was named one of Amazon.com’s best of 2005, and is available from Sh-K-Boom Records. Jason’s 2012 concert with Anika Noni Rose was broadcast on PBS, and he was the featured soloist for a live episode of FRIDAY NIGHT IS MUSIC NIGHT, broadcast live from the London Palladium and featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra. His collaboration with singer Lauren Kennedy, “Songs of Jason Robert Brown”, is available on PS Classics. Jason is also the composer of the incidental music for the Broadway revival of YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, David Lindsay-Abaire’s KIMBERLY AKIMBO and FUDDY MEERS, and

Kenneth Lonergan’s THE WAVERLY GALLERY, and he was a Tony Award nominee for his contributions to the score of URBAN COWBOY THE MUSICAL. He has also contributed music to the hit Nickelodeon television series, THE WONDER PETS as well as SESAME STREET. Jason spent ten years teaching at the USC School of Dramatic Arts, and has also taught at Harvard University, Princeton University and Emerson College. For the musical PRINCE OF BROADWAY, a celebration of the career of his mentor Harold Prince, Jason was the musical supervisor and arranger. Other New York credits as conductor and arranger include URBAN COWBOY THE MUSICAL on Broadway; DI-NAH WAS, off-Broadway and on national tour; WHEN PIGS FLY off-Broadway; Wil-liam Finn’s A NEW BRAIN at Lincoln Center Theater; the 1992 tribute to Stephen Sondheim at Carnegie Hall (recorded by RCA Victor); Yoko Ono’s NEW YORK ROCK, at the WPA Theatre; and Michael John LaChiusa’s THE PETRIFIED PRINCE at the Public Theatre. Jason orchestrated Andrew Lippa’s JOHN AND JEN, Off-Broadway at Lamb’s Theatre. Additionally, Jason served as the orchestrator and arranger of Charles Strouse and Lee Adams’s score for a proposed musical of STAR WARS. Jason has con-ducted and created arrangements and orchestrations for Liza Minnelli, John Pizzarelli, and Michael Feinstein, among many others. Jason studied composition at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., with Sam-uel Adler, Christopher Rouse, and Joseph Schwantner. This virtually-produced and recorded original musical about the vagaries of young adulthood features a tapestry of characters who face defining moments in their 20’s, from getting a job and finding a roommate to an unexpected pregnancy to a parent’s illness. As time brings increased separation and loss, the characters struggle to stay connected to each other and to their real selves. Each self-contained story and song illustrates a turning point in the familiar journey from innocence to experience.

Director's NotesIn a lot of ways, it would be easy to describe 29 as the show of “nots.” As in -We did not have a normal process of making this show.We did not plan or rehearse or do any of this in person.We are not a film program.We did not know what we were doing a lot of the time.I didn’t, at least.I still can’t believe we did not do OKLAHOMA, frankly.Did I mention we are not a film program?And for most of the time it took to make this film (one full year), it has felt like the year of nots. Not just for me, for all of us. But at this point in the process, days before this film is to be released, those nots seem less consequential than this im-pending fact: we could and we did, and we did so safely, and we did so together.The “we” I keep speaking for so freely is the “we” who made this film. It took an army (albeit a very small, very socially-distanced army) of artists doing what artists do, which is to make art no matter what. In good times, making art is easy. In bad times, making art is necessary. The bad times supply the friction that an artist rubs against; that friction is what makes the eventual fire that fuels a show—a show made out of necessity, not of ease. As I sit and edit this film together, what I see in the students performing here is the indispensability of their craft; artists make art because we are artists and we have no other choice. It’s just what we do, good times or bad. My gratitude extends to the students in this production who have reminded me of that.Enjoy the show—and here’s to many more. Seán Stone

Choreographer's NotesWe will never again take for granted what it means to dance in a studio or on a stage, the laughter that fuels a rehearsal, or the joy of the creative process not feeling like a dodgeball tournament. There were moments in this process that felt like the ship was sinking, but somehow, someway, we made it through our rehearsal and filming process with all 19 dancers + 1 choreographer safe and healthy. After almost a year of planning, rehearsing, filming, and editing, it’s a bit remarkable that we are closing the chapter of "29." I am incredibly grateful to Seán Stone and our creative and production teams. Thank you for journeying into the unknown with me + keeping the ship afloat. To all the dancers, thank you for your giggles, patience, adaptability, and grace. Anytime I was doubting myself, I would look at your smiling faces (or eyes...because masks...) and knew your trust would see me through. I feel immense pride in the completion of this production, but let’s not do it this way again anytime soon. Here’s to being 29 forever!
