If there is anything you do not understand or there are any mistakes, please, send

    me a message!

As you can see in the way I write, English is not my first language. So, you could

come across some mistakes and grammatical inconsistencies. Sorry and my

    apologies!

ABOUT YARN:Any yarn would do nicely.Ive used a cheap acrylic yarn. The yardage is 40 gr. = (+/-) 55 meters.I think that a lovely yarn for this project is Natura, there are lots and lots of lovelyshades.

ABOUT GAUGE:It is not important, as far as you are consistent with your tension.

ABOUT HOOK:It depends on the yarn. Ive used a 4 mm hook. Remember that when makingamigurumis, stitches should be tight.

    YOU WILL NEED:

Yarn for the gingerbread baby in brown and pink (just the embellishments) and abit of black for the mouth.

    Two black eyes. Stuffing.

    Tapestry needle.

ABOUT CROCHET TERMS:Ive followed the US terminology.Stitch: stChain: chSlip stitch: sl stSingle crochet: sc

    3st] repeat 3 times} repeat 2 times

Round 21: (the unused loops of the 15chs have to be worked, so we obtain the otherside of each arm). [Sc in next unused 14 loops, in the turning chain crochet

3sc, sc in next 14 st (the 14 sc that were crocheted in last row), (now we enterthe body) 1sc in next 15st] repeat 2 times (64 st)

Round 22-27: sc in each st across (64 st)Round 28: (this row we close a bit the extremes/corners of the arms). Sc in each st

across except here and here that we sc3tog (to make more noticeable thelower part of the arms.

Now with embroidery needle and some yarn sew together both sides of thearms. Ive used the whip stitch. Important: sew the same number ofstitches at each side and leave the same number of stitches at eachside of the body: 15 at each side.

Round 29: sc in each st across (30 st)Round 30: we are going to increase 6 stitches, 3 at each side: 2sc at the three

    stitches closest to the underarms:

Sc in each st across, except at the underarms at explained above (36st)

Round 31: we increase 6 stitches, 3 at each underarm, using the increases ofprevious row as reference: when reaching the 1st increase of previous row[2sc, 1sc] repeat 3 times (three increases made!)Sc in each st across, except at the underarms at explained above (42st)

Round 32-36: sc in each st across (42 st)At this point, it is also a good idea to put eyes in place, embroider the mouth

    and stuff head and arms.

(At rounds 37, 38, 40 and 42 we make 2 increases, one at each side of the toy. Thisway the toy will have a more triangular shape:

Round 37: sc in each st across except at the sides (following the line of theunderarms or the point we go from the front to the back ) 2sc (44 st)

Round 38: sc in each st across except one increase at each side (46 st)Round 39: sc in each st across (46 st)Round 40: sc in each st across except one increase at each side (48 st)

Round 41: sc in each st across (48 st)Round 42: sc in each st across except one increase at each side (50 st)Round 43: (beginning with one leg) There are 50 stitches, 25 for each leg. So, we

can begin at any point See with the photo:

25 stitches at each side of the lineFor example, if we begin our row here , when we reach the last stitch of this side, then we crochet the next st at the other side (of course, we place both sides closer!)

So, this round is 25sc, we are going to crochet this leg and then repeat thesteps for the other leg

Round 44: sc in each st across (25sts).

Round 45: we go from 25sts to 28, we can place them at any st of the row.Round 46: sc in each st across (28sts).

Round 47: one increase placed at the outer side of the leg, sc in remaining st. (29sts)Round 48: sc in each st across (29sts).

    10/14

Round 49: one increase placed at the outer side of the leg, sc in remaining st. (30sts)Round 50: sc in each st across (30sts). Fasten off.

(if you prefer the legs a bit longer, just crochet one or two additional rows)

Repeat rounds 43-50 for the other leg.

    Stuff body and legs.

Finishing the legs:Using pink, sc through both thickness (leg and sole of the foot) across (30 st). Fastenoff and weave ends. Repeat for the other leg.

(as you can see in the photo, Ive finished one leg, before beginning with the other. It

doesnt matter, do as you feel more comfortable)

    Finishing touches

The embellishments have to be sewn on place: neck, arms and button-bellies!
