As our motto this time we have chosenEXPEDITION FUTURE.

Dear friends and partners,

2014 is a special year for BEGO. It is the year

of our 50thBISS meeting in Bremen. 50 years

ago Joachim Weiss started the BISS meeting

and since then it has been an opportunity for

all of us to get together in Bremen and to share

common interests and meet for special training

programs and lectures.

50 years is indeed a very special time, which

we would like to celebrate in a special way. The

next BISS meeting is going to take place from

the 21stto the 23rdof January 2014, this time

not at the BEGO headquarter but at the Dorint

Park Hotel in Bremen. We would like to invite

you to our special gala dinner on the 22ndofJanuary where we will enjoy Palais im Park in

the Dorint Park Hotel.

Under the motto Expedition Future we would

like to exchange ideas about how we see our

role and developements of the future. We

would be very happy to have you here and hope

for space travel. The European contribution to

the International Space Station (ISS) was built

at EADS Astrium. The ISS is in orbit some 400

kilometres above Earth, so delivering supplies

is a real challenge for engineers. How do water

and food get to the astronauts? And how do

people live, sleep, and carry out research in

zero gravity?

Answers to these and many other questions are

provided in a replica of the Columbus module.

You can also see parts being constructed for

the Ariane rockets that launch satellites into

orbit, and find out how much a litre of milk

weighs on the surface of the moon.

Born and raised in Hamburg, Dr. Constantinvon See is an oral surgeon and researcher atthe Medical School Hannover and a visitingprofessor for oral surgery, implantology andradiology at the University Vienna in Austria.Teaching and lecturing represent a specialpassion for him because they give him thepossibility to motivate and generate enthusi-asm among young dentists.
