► NAKOMIS AND NAKOMA SCULPTURESCreated as a tribute to the Winnebago Indian Nation, two sculptural figures were to stand in large circular, shallow basins of water at the entrance to the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Nakoma Country Club, Madison, Wisconsin. Developed in the late 19th and early 20th century, Prairie Style architecture was usually marked by horizontal lines, flat or hipped roofs, windows grouped in horizontal bands, and integration with the landscape.
