All baseball/softball levels will be based on grade completed as of 2013/2014 school year. Girls and boys play together for T-Ball and Rookies. Ideally, a maximum amount of players placed on a roster is 12. Exceptions may occur based on the situation.

Team schedules will be posted online at wfparks.org by May 23. Team rosters will be set up according to school attending. Please specify the school your child attends or would like to play with when you register. Registrations will not be accepted by mail, fax or in the office after the April 11 deadline. Anyone interested in registering after the deadline must come to the park office. Late fees will apply.

Individual and team photos will be taken. Dates and times will be posted online and on a printed schedule.

On the 1st day of baseball/softball, teams will meet at their assigned field. During the first week participants will work on skill development and rules of the game.

There are 2 rain out dates built into the schedule. If more than 2 days are cancelled due to weather, those days will be made up the week of July 28-31.

For weather related information and other updates, call the Cancellation Line at 433-5363.

Equipment: Players should bring their own baseball glove with them to practice every day. Bats will be supplied by the West Fargo Park District. For sanitary reasons, the West Fargo Park District highly recommends players bring their own helmet. However, helmets will be provided for those who do not bring their own.

Carpooling: For carpooling purposes you may request to play with two other individuals, however these two individuals must be in the same level and school as your child. These registrations must be mailed together or turned into the office at the same time. To help prevent errors in this process we encourage participants not to use online registration if making carpool requests. This procedure only applies to registrations received by the registration deadline.

Minors or Majors: Requests to play on the same team will not be guaranteed. Siblings will be grouped together only if requested on registration form.

Daycares: If you are responsible for transporting a group of players call the park office before April 4 at 433-5360 and we will limit your players to be on 2 teams. Only 12 players will be allowed per team.

• Registration Deadline is April 11.• Bringyourgloveonthefirstdayofball.• Request T-shirt size and school attending on registration form.• There will be no Baseball or Softball the week of July 4.• Schedules will be emailed and posted on our website, wfparks.org.

Each year the Urban Forestry Committee selects a recipient to help celebrate Arbor Day. This year the commit-tee will be planting a tree in honor of a West Fargo resident. The Arbor Day program will announce a date and time for this special day. A West Fargo Public School class will also be selected to be a part of this special day.

The City of West Fargo is a Tree City USA. In order to be a Tree City USA, a city needs to have a Forestry Council, follow Tree Care ordinances, have an annual budget of at least $2 per capita, and hold an Arbor Day Observance and Proclamation. Because the West Fargo Park District cares about patrons, the following policy was adopted. We ask all parents and guardians to be on time when picking up their child from a West Fargo Park District activity or facility. Any child not picked up 20 minutes after an activity ends is considered an “unattended child." Program leaders will remain on site until all patrons have left the premises. However, after 20 minutes, the West Fargo Police Department will be contacted to pick up the child and escort them to the proper authorities. Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult or a student age 14 or older.

Unattended Child Policy

We are committed to supporting the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you require special accommodations for participation in any activities or facilities, please contact the West Fargo Park District at 433-5360.

Participant's Code of Ethics

For carpooling purposes you may request to play with a maximum two other individuals and these two individuals must request to play with you and register for the same level and list the same school. All registrations that are interested in carpooling must be turned in at the same time.

Minors or Majors: Requests to play on the same team will not be guaranteed. However, siblings will be grouped together if requested on registration form.

Daycares: If you are responsible for transporting a group of players call the park office before April 4 at 433-5360 and we will limit your players to be on 2 teams. Only 12 players will be allowed per team.

Carpooling

Early registration for baseball and softball ends April 11, 2014. A $20 late fee will apply on April 12, 2014.

Early registration for summer soccer ends April 18, 2014. A $20 late fee will apply on April 19, 2014.

Registering early helps us to appropriately and efficiently staff programs, create schedules and order supplies.

Most activities have registration limits and may reach that limit before the early registration finishes. Registrations after early registration will only be accepted if room is available.

Early Registration

The West Fargo Park District does not carry insurance for participants. We suggest reviewing your family’s personal health insurance plan to be sure it provides you with sufficient coverage. We also suggest consulting a physician before starting any activity requiring physical exertion.
