To promote, advance and improve, for the benefit of the public, agricultural, horticultural, forestry, rural crafts and skills in all their branches by the improvement of livestock and the demonstration of livestock, machinery, crafts, products, methods and processes connected

with agriculture and agricultural education.

RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The District of the Society shall be unlimited. 2. All Entries for the Competition must be the bona fide property of the Exhibitor at the time of Entry. Subscriptions may

be paid to the Collectors, who are empowered to give receipts and hand over tickets. No tickets will be forwarded unless the subscriptions are previously paid.

3. All disputes which shall arise in any section relating to awarding of prizes, trophies or any other matter relating to classes, shall be referred to the Show Committee, whose decision in all cases will be final.

4. Any disputes relating to the management of the Show/Event shall be referred to the Society Council, whose decision will be final.

5. No person standing indebted to the Society shall be allowed to make an Entry while such debt remains unpaid. 6. Exhibitors must have their exhibits on the field by the times contained in the Schedule. 7. Stock will be required to keep to their proper places as directed by the Stewards. All persons violating this rule will be

liable to forfeit their prizes and pay a fine of £30.00, which shall be strictly enforced. 8. Exhibitors removing stock from their stand before 4.30pm after being judged on any pretence whatever, without written leave

from Emergency Committee, will be precluded from taking any prize which may have been awarded. 9. The Secretary in making out the award book for the Judges will strike out all entries for competition for which the

entrance fees are not paid. This rule will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. 10. Any person wishing to raise an objection must do so in writing to the Secretary, within 30 minutes of the close of judging and

deposit with her the sum of £50.00 and if, on investigation by the Committee, the objection is not sustained to their satisfaction, the deposit money shall, at the discretion of the Committee, be forfeited to the funds of the Society.

11. In any cases of disqualification, the animal or other exhibit placed next in merit will succeed the prize. 12. All stock shown may (if considered necessary by the Stewards) be examined by the Veterinary Inspector, either

before or after being judged, and if passed as unsound, unhealthy, or not the correct age or height specified shall be disqualified or excluded from competition, and the Certificate in writing of the Veterinary Officer shall be final and conclusive on that point.

13. Should the exhibitor of any animal at any of the Society’s Shows fail to prove, to the satisfaction of the Committee, the correctness of any Certificate he may have given when called upon to do so he shall forfeit all claim to any Prize which may have been awarded to him, and may be prohibited from exhibiting in any future Show of the Society.

14. Any exhibitor bringing any animal into the Show Ground diseased with any epidemic disorder shall, on proof thereof, forfeit £50.00 to the Secretary for the use of the Society.

15. The Committee of the Society will not be responsible for any losses, mistakes, or accidents of any description that may occur to any entry, and entries will be received subject to this condition.

16. The public will be admitted into the Show Ground at 8.30am on payment of £8.00 each, Concessions £6.00, Children £4.00, Children aged 3 years and under free of charge. Family tickets (2 adults and 2 school-aged children) £18.00. Car Parking FREE in the field adjoining the show. Show field parking only for disabled.

17. Honorary Members will be issued with appropriate Badges. 18. No distinguishing marks or letter shall be placed on any Exhibit, either in the ring or on any stand, and the Stewards may strike

out the name and number of any Exhibitor so offending and debar him from being awarded a prize. 19. If insufficient entries, prizes may be withheld at the discretion of the Judges in all classes. 20. Accounts owing to be rendered in 28 days and all prize money to be paid on Show Day. Cheques not cashed within six

months will not be re-issued without the consent of the Executive Committee. 21. The Committee reserve to themselves the right of altering any judging arrangements they deem necessary except

where prevented in sections controlled by a governing body. 22. No unauthorised person will be allowed in the Judging Rings or Marquees during judging. 23. The Committee reserve the right to cancel any Class owing to insufficient entries. 24. Ownership CATTLE and SHEEP must be bone fide property of Exhibitor and to have owned the said exhibit for a

period of not less than 3 months before the date of the Show. 25. All Trophies awarded must be returned at least one month before the following year’sShow, or contact made with

the Secretary. 26. The Organisers of this Show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organisers and all Officials and Stewards.

27. No B.S Registered Animals or Riders allowed to compete in the unaffiliated show jumping. 28. Riders must have the correct dress to compete in unaffiliated jumping. 29. Correctly secured skull caps/ riding hats that meet one of the following safety standards MUSTbe worn by riders of all

ages. Handlers under the age of 14 MUSTalso do so. All PAS 015; VGI (BS) EN 1384 2017; ASTM F1163 04a onwards; SNELL E 2016; AS/NZS 3838 2003. Failure to adhere to this important safety rule will lead to the offending competitor being asked to leave the show field immediately.

WHAT’S ON AT THIS YEAR’S SHOW ENTERTAINMENT 2019

The BMX Show

In 2019 we welcome The BMX Show. Look forward to seeing the 2020 Olympic

team members & Red Bull riders perform the biggest jumps (over 6m) at the

fastest speeds. With a selection of the World’s leading stunt riders the team pride

themselves on being the most accomplished stunt show team in the United

Kingdom and quite possibly the World. You’re sure to see some of the most

impressive tricks, jumps and stunts possible, many of which would not think

possible on a bicycle – prepare to be amazed! They are coming to Huby & Sutton

Show to show us why they are British & World Champions (20+ times), and how

they hold Guinness World records… AND it gets better....you have the chance to

have a go yourself in the participation area! Here Ben Savage can coach all the

family, like his YouTube blogs.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO HORSE EXHIBITORS All Competitor numbers to be collected

from the horse secretary on the day

Late entries up to Wed 19th June will be charged an extra £5 per class

Entries on the day (not including show jumping)

will be £7 extra.

Cars are not allowed in the horsebox park. Any vehicle entering the red gate containing more than

4 adults will be charged admission.

SPONSORSHIP Sponsoring is the opportunity to advertise, promote and boost your business and support Huby & Sutton Show. We have packages that can be viewed on our website that suit all advertising and sponsorship budgets. All can be tailored to suit your needs. We return the favour with free admissions, ringside parking and our wonderful sponsorship lunches.To ensure maximum publicity we will have on-road advertising, website and social media coverage, adverts in papers and other publications prior to show day. Then a programme on the day for the public to read.

TRADE STANDS Stands are a standard 8 metres deep and can be booked by frontage width, costing £8 per metre (Minimum charge of £40). All stands are situated outdoors and whilst no electricity is provided, quiet generators are allowed. We require each stand to provide a copy of their Public Liability Insurance (minimum £1m), and to complete a risk assessment. There are trophies and prizes for the best stands in two categories. We look forward to discussing your businesses requirements and welcoming you to the show in 2019. This show is affiliated to the National Pony Society. Ponies entered in the following classes must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain and Moorland Stud Books. Partbreds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members, but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show August 2019. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified.

TGCA TOYS In Hand and Ridden Classes Affiliation Number TGCA/19/2306/STQ No known breeding required to enter these classes TGCA Breed classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association's (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show “TOYS”. Classes are open to all traditional gypsy cobs. Part Bred classes, are open to all part bred traditional gypsy cobs and are qualifiers for the part bred finals at “TOYS”. The exhibit must have one parent that is bred traditional gypsy cob. Stallions – All stallions (four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA stallion evaluations and their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Current TGCA members must present their Membership card and Qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Non-members MUST receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. HUNTER BREEDING SECTION

YORKSHIRE SPORT HORSE (SHB OF GB) PREMIUM AWARDS FOR 2019QUALIFYING SHOWS FOR ALL AWARDS

NB – to be considered for a premium in 2019, you MUST pre-register your stock on one of our REGISTRATION FORMS. These are available either online or from our General Secretary, Mrs Jo Rooke, Beeches Farm, Tollerton Lane, Newton-on-Ouse, York, YO30 2DQ REGISTRATION IS COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.These registrations forms should be completed as early as possible and returned to Yorkshire Sport Horse. We shall continue to include Sport Horse classes as well as Hunter Breeding classes in 2019. It is likely that there will be no Yorkshire Sport Horse Committee presence at qualifying shows. Results will be obtained from the secretary of each participating show. No results will be published online until the end of the season. Premium vouchers and rosettes will be awarded at our Annual Dinner at the Bridge at Walshford on 22nd November 2019. Hunter Breeding Classes: Otley, Hambleton, GYS, Driffield, Huby and Sutton on Forest, Ryedale and Yorkshire Sport Horse (double points awarded at this show only), and National Hunter Show Sport Horse Classes: Hambleton. Bramham, Huby and Sutton on Forest, Malton, Yorkshire Sport Horse (double points at this show only), and National Hunter Show. Other shows may be added or deleted as the season gets underway. Please check our website for updates. BROODMARE VOUCHERS A broodmare voucher worth £100 and rosette will be awarded in the Broodmare class(es) to the highest placed broodmare (1ST, 2ND OR 3RD placed) certified in foal OR with own foal at foot. The owner of the mare to reside in Yorkshire and the voucher to be used on any currently registered SHB (GB) graded stallion in either 2020 or 2021. The voucher is not transferable and no mare to win more than one voucher in each section (hunter breeding and sport horse), in any one season.

BREEDERS’ PREMIUMS (FOALS AND YOUNGSTOCK) 1. Premiums – Foals A stallion voucher worth £50 and rosette will be awarded to the breeder who must reside in Yorkshire, of the best foal (1st, 2nd or 3rd placed), sired by a graded SHB (GB) stallion currently registered in the year of covering OR out of an SHB graded mare. A foal may win ONE premium only in each section (hunter breeding and sport horse), in any one season. 2. Premiums – Young Stock A stallion voucher worth £50 and rosette will be awarded to the breeder who must reside in Yorkshire, of the best yearling, two-year old and three-year old (1st, 2nd or 3rd placed), sired by a graded SHB (GB) stallion currently registered in the year of covering OR out of an SHB graded mare. A horse may win ONE premium only in each section (hunter breeding and sport horse), in any one season 3. Payment Results will be obtained from the relevant shows and breeding details verified with Sports Horse Breeding of GB. The stallion voucher will then be sent to the breeder of the highest-placed (1st, 2nd or 3rd) animal in each class. The BREEDER of the Champion from 1,2 and 3-year-old Sport Horse classes will receive a Trophy. These prizes are awarded at the end of the year to the Broodmare, Foals and Young Stock who have gained the most points at qualifying shows, I.e. 3 points for First, 2 for Second, 1 for Third. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from the following Class will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 17th – 18th August 2019 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire. NG32 2EF. N.B: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. VINTAGE VEHICLES

Entry is free for driver and one passenger. All other passengers must pay on the gate (£7 per person) or purchase an advance ticket at the time of booking your entry (£5 per person).

Please enclose a Stamped Addressed Envelope for return of entry ticket. Cars will be parked in the grounds of Sutton Park. Access is through a pedestrian area which

means vehicles must be in place by 10.00am and remain in place until 4.00pm.
