    GREEK CENTER UNION PARTYGREEK DEMOCRATIC YOUTH ABROAD SECOND CONGRESS IN VIENNA AUSTRIA

    PRESS RELEASE

    The 2nd Congress of the Center Union Party and the Greek Democratic Youth

    Organizations Abroad begun today, 5th

    November 1971, at 2.30 p.m. in Vienna, Austria.

    Dr. Bruno Pittermann, Chairman of the Socialist International and President of the

    Austria Association of the Friends of Greek Democracy, was called, by the Secretary

    General Mr. Stavros Kaikis, to declare the opening of the Congress. Under the auspices

    (Schirmherrschaft) of the Association of the Friends of Greek Democracy the Congress is

    held.

    THE OPENING OF THE CONGRESS SALUTED:

    1. Dr. Bruno Pittermann, Chairman of the Socialist International.2. Mr. Georg Mylonas, former Greek Minister of Education, representative of the resistance

    organization Democratic Defence.

    3. Jeri Svenson, General Secretary of the International Union of Socialist Youth, Sweden.4. Horst Wagner, Metal Workers Union Berlin.5. Willy Huber, Young Socialists, Switzerland.6. Erwin Lanc, M.P.7. Peter Schieder, M.P., President of the World Assembly of Youth.8. Alfred Hasenkopf, Deputy to the Vienna Diet.9. Adalbert Busta, Deputy to the Vienna Diet, Chairman Union of Workers in Personal

    Services.

    10.Chaplain Lorenz Gymrey, writer of the book Greecea European case.11.Josef Hindels, Vice-President of the Austrian Resistance Movement.12.Prof. Dr. Ernst Joseph Grlich, Vice-President of the Austrian League for Human Rights,

    Member of the Austrian PEN-Club.

    13.Dipl.-Ing. Rudolf Trimmel, Member of the Presidium of the Association of SocialistFreedom Fighters and Victims of Fascism.
