  • ABSTRACTRecently the health care sensors are playing a vital role in hospitality.

    The patient monitoring systems is one of the major improvement in the hospitality because of its advanced technology.

    A wireless patient monitoring system to measure heartbeat, body temperature and respiration by using embedded technology.

  • INTRODUCTIONIn general, a compact sensor, is used to monitor the heartbeat in analog form and to check the condition of the patient we required some more components such as thermometer and respiration.

    So we are here, just connected the temperature sensor and heartbeat sensor so that simultaneously we can monitor the patients condition.

    An embedded technology is used instead of dsp technology to develop this system so that it is easy to operate and available at an affordable cost.

  • MAIN OBJECTIVE

    The specialist staying at a distance can monitor the patient condition so that he can save the life of the patient.

    This system is to be available at reasonable prices.

    Embedded technology is to be use so that we can monitor the patient condition easily.

  • PROPOSED METHODAn advanced technique AMBULANCE TRACKING WITH PATIENT HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM is used.

    There are mainly two parts of the system one is transmitter and the other one is receiver.

    The transmitter is placed near the patient and the receiver is with the specialist doctor. So when there is any abnormality in the patients condition then he can monitor the situation.

  • BLOCK DIAGRAM OF THE SYSTEM

  • This project performs three main functions. First one is Patient health monitoring;

    second one is tracking theAmbulancewhich is carrying the Patient

    Third one is to send above two details to the Hospital or Doctor using a GSM technology.

    By using these parameters, doctor can do the necessary preparation for treatment of patient.

    WORKING OF THE SYSTEM

  • CONTD.. With the help of this project we can find out the location of ambulance and at the same time we can monitor various health parameter of a patient.

    These parameters are temperature and heart beat rate. A text SMS containing location and values of all the sensors is sent to a Doctors mobile

  • HEART BEAT MONITORING It is very important that the heartbeat is to be normal. That is 72 BPM.

    If there is any abnormality, then the patient is in the trouble.

    We can measure the temperature by using two types of sensors

    Thermistors

    Resistance thermometers.

  • MODULESAn Embedded technology is used here.

    ARM LPC2148 is used in this system.

    GSM and GPS technology is used to transmit and receive the data.

    To operate more easily we are using this type of microcontroller instead of dsp technology.

    To reduce the complexity

  • ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED METHOD

    1) The main advantage is that with the help of GSM technology, the data of patient health can be sent to a longer distance through SMS.

    2) With the use of GPS technology, the exact co-ordinates of ambulance can be tracked.

    3) As this system is fully automated, it does not require any human interaction.

  • APPLICATIONS1) As the name suggests, this project finds its main application in hospital for the tracking of ambulance as well as to understand the health parameter values of patient.

    2) Many industries and companies have their own private ambulance. These ambulances proves helpful and life saver when any employee or worker met with an accident.

  • CONCLUSIONModern technologies have developed that promotes comfortable and better life which is disease free.

    PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE

    This system is intelligent than previous systems.

  • FUTURE SCOPE

    Multiple parameters like Blood pressure, retinal size, age and weight can be included as controlling parameters in the future.
