How will your leadership journey with the AGSM positively impact other women, now and in the future? (This question is only for AGSM Director’s Women in Leadership and AGSM Emerging Female Leaders Scholarship applicants)


INTERVIEW TIPS AND INFORMATION

Each video interview consists of three questions, one practice and two official questions both 3 minutes long. Our suggestion is to use your mobile device or tablet as iOS and Android devices tend to have higher quality equipment thus producing a higher quality video.

Interview Do’s

• prepare ahead of time and check your equipment

• dress professionally from head-to-toe

• find a quiet, clean and well-lit room where you will have privacy and no distractions

• calm your nerves and relax

• sit up straight in the centre of the frame and make eye contact with the webcam

• speak slowly and clearly

• treat a video interview just like an in-person interview.

Interviewing Don'ts

• drink too much coffee or energy drinks that’ll make you jittery

• dress casually in a t-shirt and jeans

• sit in front of a window with light coming in behind you or sit in the dark

• sit in a busy, noisy common area

• slouch or sit to the side of the webcam

• whisper, yell, or rush your answers

• read (we will be able to tell if you are reading a script).
