Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10am, our playgroup will be bilingual! The topic we will be focusing on is: Home Safety
We will have a guest speaker from the Tucson Fire Department! Each family that attends the virtual playgroup will recieve a home safety item!

Childproofing your Home
The danger of accidents at home increases as your child grows. Your toddler is bolder and more mobile, and they must start to learn to recognize dangers and protect themselves. You can teach your children ways to be safe. Start with the words you will use when something is off limits to
them. For example: “Stop!” “No!” “Hot!” or “Don’t touch that!” Without getting mad, explain what might happen if they do
something unsafe, like run into the street or grab a sharp knife. Look for books that teach safety.
Talk about how to handle situations that appear in stories and on TV.

furniture and household items so you can provide some room for active toddlers to use their growing motor abilities.
Stay close by... Keep a watchful eye... Listen… Anticipate your child’s needs… Engage and redirect...
