We are pleased to invite all International Taekwon-Do Federation members, Red Belt and above, to the International Harmony Course (IHC) #9, to be held in Vancouver B.C., Canada, (Port Coquitlam, a suburb of Vancouver) on June 23 & 24, 2018.

This IHC is sanctioned by the International Taekwon-Do Federation, the Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation, International and the International Taekwon-Do Federation of B.C. and hosted by Master Hal Lipscombe and Master Kurt Ottesen.

Training will be held in the Mabbett Room, located at the Port Coquitlam Recreation Complex, 2150 Wilson Ave Port Coquitlam British Columbia.

Mr. Gastón Casero, VI Degree from Argentina, and Chairperson of the International Taekwon-Do Federation Harmony Committee, will conduct this course.

ALL applications and payments for the Seminar and Banquet must be received NO LATER THAN May 15, 2018.

As you may recall the purpose of the ITF Harmony Program is to encourage those over the age of 50 to get involved in an activity that will help them keep fit, both in mind and in body. On average over 32% of our population is in the age demographics of 50 to 84. This demographic will only continue to grow as the World’s population continues to age.

In the Oath of Taekwon-Do we state, “I shall build a more peaceful world”. One of the ways of doing this, is to help those who are aging be active, to participate in a Martial Art, (Taekwon-Do) that truly believes in practicing the Tenets of Taekwon-Do and studying its philosophy. Not only would we be helping people stay more active and therefore healthier, we would be helping their minds stay healthy and hopefully adding them to our Taekwon-Do Family. One that wants to make our World a more Peaceful World…

We would love to have everyone to take part in this great event, and recommend that you make your reservations early so we can accommodate everyone attending.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of the room rates, which have been extended to allow coverage three days before and/or after the IHC, to provide a mini get away for you and your family to enjoy Beautiful Vancouver.

On Saturday evening we will have a banquet for everyone to enjoy each other’s company and make new and lasting friendships. While the Banquet is not mandatory we must have a

minimum of 40 people attending so please give is very strong consideration. Menu is appendix A on page 6

We have selected the Port Coquitlam Inn & Suites Hotel, 1545 Lougheed Hwy, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 1A5 (Tel: 604-941-6216, Toll Free Reservations: 1-800-930-2235 (Website: www.poco-inn-and-suites.com) as the host hotel. This hotel is a 5-minute drive to the Mabbett Room where all training will take place.

We request that all participants planning on staying at a hotel choose the Port Coquitlam Inn & Suites Hotel as they have extended a very favourable rate ($169 per night + 13% taxes) and they are the closest hotel to our venue. Other hotels are not even close to the venue and if you choose one over a bridge you can expect long delays due to traffic.
