I am excited to be part of the board that is organizing this year’s Next Gen. Summit. The board will focus on empowering and improving the “YOU.”

The main speakers and break-out sessions will cater to improving yourself both professionally and socially. Next Gen. Summit is a collaboration between EPIC and ImpactCR. Both groups are dedicated to improving the Creative Corridor through civic, social and leadership programs. As we plan the Next Gen. Summit this year, we want to keep those three key points in mind.

It will also be the first year the board will recruit speakers and talent, which allows us to focus on the “YOU” theme. Whether you are entry level, an entrepreneur or an executive, we want to make sure the Summit is applicable to all. Everyone can take something from the event and I believe that is why it will be such a great success.

The Next Gen. Summit will take place at hotelVetro in downtown Iowa City on October 6. We have a great line-up of keynote speakers and break-out sessions. The summit will last the entire day, starting with an opening ceremony and concluding with a social hour. We expect to have a large attendance this year, so register soon! Right now is an exciting time for the Creative Corridor! Whether you are a young professional or a seasoned business owner, the Corridor offers a platform unlike any other to grow and expand your company. It also offers a lifestyle that many, including myself, have come to love. We are starting to see large companies relocate here to take advantage of what Iowa has to offer, and start-ups are choosing the Corridor to plant their roots. Not only is this great for the community but it is what makes living in the corridor so rewarding.
