I am excited to be part of the board that is organizing this year’s Next Gen. Summit. The board will focus on empowering and improving the “YOU.”

The main speakers and break-out sessions will cater to improving yourself both professionally and socially. Next Gen. Summit is a collaboration between EPIC and ImpactCR. Both groups are dedicated to improving the Creative Corridor through civic, social and leadership programs. As we plan the Next Gen. Summit this year, we want to keep those three key points in mind.

It will also be the first year the board will recruit speakers and talent, which allows us to focus on the “YOU” theme. Whether you are entry level, an entrepreneur or an executive, we want to make sure the Summit is applicable to all. Everyone can take something from the event and I believe that is why it will be such a great success.

The Next Gen. Summit will take place at hotelVetro in downtown Iowa City on October 6. We have a great line-up of keynote speakers and break-out sessions. The summit will last the entire day, starting with an opening ceremony and concluding with a social hour. We expect to have a large attendance this year, so register soon! There are scholarships you can apply for to cover the registration price. Visit the Next Gen. Summit website, ngsummit.com, or our Facebook page, facebook.com/

In the age of social media, even the most contentious businesses and organizations can find themselves in the midst of a PR crisis, as social channels

have given upset customers a public stage to air their grievances. Frequently the fear of negative comments is enough to deter a business from using social media as a communications tool. Join Meghann Foster, Director of Digital Strategy at Brand Driven Digital, as she presents how to transform the challenge of a social media crisis into a powerful customer service asset.

loss and 75% of those adults are 65 years and younger (source: MBD, WHO, 2011 DHI estimates).

We navigate, enjoy, and experience our

lives with just 5 precious senses - why limit them? The good news is that 95% of people with hearing loss can benefit from using hearing aids (source: Sergei Kochkin, Ph.D., Better

Hearing Institute, Washington, DC). If you have hearing loss, we have solutions!

For over thirty-five years, the staff at Iowa Audiology has been committed to bringing

the best possible hearing healthcare to Southeastern Iowa. We believe our job isn’t finished until our patients’ lives are improved. Our clinics are staffed with audiologists who have doctoral degrees and many years of experience helping people with hearing loss, with seven convenient locations accessing hearing healthcare has never been easier.

Hearing technologies change rapidly and we pride ourselves on keeping pace with a wide range of manufacturers and technologies to best fit your individual hearing loss and budget. Most people experience gradual changes in their hearing, and the brain tries to adapt to these slow changes over time. We take this into consideration as we help you make your way back into the world of better hearing. Utilizing appropriate technologies and rehabilitative tools guarantees better results.
