Banen er tegnet af von Hagge, Smelek & Baril fra USA, med Thomas Bjørn som konsulent. Et flot design med bølgende fairways og rig variation i hvert golf huls design, sikrer en god oplevelse for den øvede såvel som det mindre øvede golfspiller.

Vi tilbyder fem tee steder på hvert hul, og opfordrer dig til at læse nedenstående anbefalinger for valg af banelængde, inden du starter.

Vi ønsker dig en god golf runde og inviterer indenfor i vores dej-lige klubhus med rig mulighed for at bruge de mange faciliteter, fra omklædningsrum i underetagen til restaurant og pejsestue i stueetagen.

HOLE 1 – par 5. If you want to reach this green with two shots, favor the right side of the fairway with the tee ball. The left fairway bunker indicates this. This hole plays downhill and, unless you are attempting to reach the green in two, length is less important than position. Position your second shot so your green approach is from a comfortable distance. You will have more success approaching this green from the right. Again, the bunkers near the green signal this. This hole should allow you to get warmed up and start thinking.

Pin placements: HARD - right front and left front AVERAGE – right side EASY - middle and left

HOLE 2 – par 3. This is a short and picturesque par 3. Enjoy the scenery first THEN focus on making a good swing. Resist the urge to look up too quickly after your swing. The green is larger than it appears. But, if you miss the putting green, you will need to stay seriously focused in order to make par. Of course, if your tee ball should happen to find the lake, a par score becomes slightly more difficult.

Pin placements:HARD - right side and front AVERAGE – left and back EASY - middle

HOLE 3 – par 4. A good drive is important on this hole, to make the green approach easier. On the tee ball, challenge the left sandy waste area (cautiously) to reduce the length of the hole. The approach to the green requires precision; sandy waste left and only slight relief right. On this hole, being on the green in regulation will pay dividends. Play aggressive.

Pin placements:HARD - Left side and back AVERAGE -Right side EASY - middle

HOLE 4 – par 4. This dog-leg left offers an option to “short cut” left of the sand pot in the landing area, to reduce the length of the hole. However, the left approach angle to the green is not as desirable as approaching this green from the right. A bunker guards the left side of the green and the green is oriented to better accommodate a right side approach. So, approach from the left with precision or from the right, longer but more forgiving – your choice. So, this is a politically correct golf hole and green; If you’re a conservative, you belong on the right side. If you are liberal, play left!

Pin placements:HARD - Left back AVERAGE - Middle – behind pot bunker EASY - Right of pot bunker

HOLE 5 – par 3. Things aren’t always what they seem… The green seems to start right behind the bunker but there is hidden distance here. This hole will test your ability to commit to the distance and your golf swing. The bunker is only a factor if you hit a really poor shot. This is a large and undulating green and being near the hole with your tee ball is important.

Pin placements:HARD – right side AVERAGE – back and front left EASY – middle left

HOLE 6 – par 4. This is a medium length par 4 where ball control is important. The green is most receptive when approached from the right side of the fairway. But, there is a lake to the right. So be cautious when aiming your tee ball to the right side of the fairway. Play to the left side of the fairway for safety but this will bring the lake more into play on your

approach. Also, the green is less receptive to an approach from the left side. Perhaps a driver is not right club for the tee ball.

Pin placements:HARD – right side AVERAGE – back left and front left EASY – middle and front right

HOLE 7 – Par 4. This is a slight dogleg right, medium length hole. The tee shot is slightly uphill and slightly mysterious (you will not see the fairway surface in the landing area). This causes some players discomfort. Commit to your chosen line-of-play. Approaching the green from the right side is the preferred angle.

Pin placements:HARD – left back and left front AVERAGE – right back EASY – front right

HOLE 8 – Par 5. The straight to slight dogleg left par 5 is normally not reachable in two. It is a great driving hole, even though it is not really necessary to hit driver from the tee. It’s possible to see the green from the tee and devise a plan of attack, based on the pin location. The first landing area is wide and inviting, as long as you avoid the bunkers on the right. The second landing area (approximately at 360m) features a sand pot, which you must avoid. Whether you should favor the right or left side for your approach will depend on the location of the flag; • If the flag is right, approach from the right. • If the flag is left, approach from left. • If the flag is back left, approach from right. • If the flag is behind the sand pot – sorry!

Pin placements:HARD – left back and center front, behind pot AVERAGE – back center, right EASY – left

HOLE 9 – par 4. This is a relatively short and straight par 4. Distance with the tee ball is not critical but being straight is important! Avoid the sand pot bunkers. A high and soft approach shot will serve you well as this is a subtle and low profile green. This is a smaller green and keep an approach shot on this green can be deceivingly difficult.

Pin placements:HARD – left front and right front AVERAGE – left EASY – back

HOLE 10 – par 4. This is a slight dog-leg left, downhill par 4. The pot bunkers left define the left side of the fairway. Playing close to these bunkers slightly shortens this hole. A good drive will leave a medium iron to an undulating and difficult green. The approach shot to this green must be high and soft or with spin to stay on the putting surface. A low trajectory approach will likely not stay on this green.

Pin placements:HARD – right and front AVERAGE – left and middle front EASY – back

HOLE 11 – par 3. This a long and difficult par 3 with a sandy waste front and left. The green is ang-led to the line of play so the right side is shorter and the left is longer. The ideal approach is a slight draw (right hand player) which takes advantage of the direction of the putting surface. Proper distance is critical with the tee ball. The green has more topography than it first may appear.

Pin placements:HARD – left and back, front middle AVERAGE – middle back EASY – right

LYNGBYGAARD GOLF COURSE DESCRIPTION

HOLE 12 – par 5. This is a LONG par 5 dog-leg left and downhill. It boasts one of the prettiest views from the tee. Accuracy is more important than length with the tee ball. Avoid the right sand bunker. The second shot is severely downhill and the second landing area is very wide and forgi-ving. Set up the angle and desired distance for your approach shot to this large and undulating green. Front and left of this green is a grass depression which should be avoided. But, this does not seriously influence the approach to this putting surface.

Pin placements: HARD – front left and back right AVERAGE – back left EASY – middle and front right

HOLE 13 – par 4. This is a dog-leg right par 4 with a split fairway. The aggressive player may want to reduce the distance of the hole by playing the tee ball to the right fairway. However, this fairway requires precision. The more conservative and longer route is to the lower and left fairway. If you choose the left fairway, favor the right side, as this hole dog-legs sharply right and distance is reduced significantly by favoring the right side of the fairway. The green approach is slightly uphill, which may fool some players. At the green, most the trouble is on the right side.

Pin placements:HARD – right and back AVERAGE – middle and left EASY – front

HOLE 14 – par 5. This is a slight dog-leg left par 5 that plays uphill then level. The tee shot is important. If poorly executed, par will be a difficult score to achieve. Avoid the left sandy waste. Your second shot will need to be studied carefully. It will determine the angle and distance of your approach to this green. This green is deceiving and partially hidden on the right. Trust your distance and play an aggressive approach.

Pin placements:HARD – left back and right front AVERAGE – left front and right back EASY – middle

HOLE 15 – par 3. This par 3 is surrounded by forest and features extensive sandy waste areas, right and left. This hole plays slightly uphill to a small green. Distance and ball trajectory are very important on this hole.

Pin placements:HARD – left AVERAGE – right EASY – right

HOLE 16 – par 4. This is a slight dog-leg right par 4. A long tee ball is rewarded with a shorter approach and better visibility to this green, which is at a lower elevation than the landing area. Favor the right side of the fairway and avoid the pot bunker left. The approach shot to the green places a premium on distance. It’s better to be short of the green than over the green!

Pin placements:HARD – right AVERAGE – left EASY – middle

HOLE 17 – par 3. This is a slightly uphill short par 3 to an “island” green. Trajectory and distance are the most important factors on this hole. A high soft approach shot will be well rewarded.

Pin placements:HARD – right back AVERAGE – left EASY – middle

HOLE 18 – par 5. This is a long straight uphill par 5 to one of the largest greens on the golf course. The tee ball is to a wide fairway that is guarded right and left with sand bunkers. The second shot is uphill and without much trouble. Two good shots will still leave a fairly lengthy approach shot to this well guarded green. A huge round sand bunker guards the front of this undulating green. Being short of the green is not recommended.

Pin placements:HARD – left front and back right AVERAGE – back and right front EASY – middle

HOLE 19 – Par 4. This medium length par 4 which provides a relatively simple start to the round. The tee ball should avoid the bunker right. The approach is played to one of the larger greens, which is guarded by a large round sand bunker. The right pin placement requires a high soft approach shot. The left side of the green allows a lower trajectory approach.

HOLE 20 – Par 4. This is a straight and narrow par 4 with no significant trouble for the tee ball or the green approach. The strategy is to be able to hit shots with good accuracy. Power is not required but wayward shots will surely find trouble in the surrounding forest. This green is a small platform with minimal visual references. An approach shot beyond the green will find some trouble in the swale bordering the right and back of the green.

HOLE 21 – Par 3. This is a short, one shot hole which places a premium on accuracy. Sand right and left will capture an errant approach shot. Favor the right side of the green with the approach.

HOLE 22 – Par 4. The tee ball is played downhill to a fairway which is wider than it appears. The “pot” sand bunker in the middle of the fairway which provides a visual reference. It is advanta-geous to aim and play left of this bunker. This will result in a shorter approach to the green, from a good angle of attack. The approach is to a relatively small green. The green slopes from left to right. Play the approach slightly left of the intended target.

HOLE 23 – Par 3. This is a relatively short and simple par 3. The low profile green is constructed in a protected zone. It is bordered on the right and behind by water. Again, accuracy is more important than distance on this hole. Avoid the right and back of the green to earn a good score.

HOLE 24 – Par 4. This is a straight hole which only becomes complicated with wild or errant shots. Play conservative and keep the ball in play – in the middle. There is water bordering nearly the entire right side of this fairway. The approach to this green favors a high trajectory shot. There is a large sand bunker guarding the left side of the green. The back left pin placement is the most challenging.

HOLE 25 – Par 3. This is a short par 3 requiring an accurate approach. There is a sand bunker front and right to encourage players to favor the right side. Left of this green is real trouble. The green angles away – short left to long right. There is a low “catchment” area on the right side of the green, located near the middle distance. This green requires some “local knowledge”, as the trouble surrounding the green is not fully understood from the tee. The back pin placement is certainly the most challenging.

HOLE 26 – Par 4. This hole plays significantly up-hill. The tee ball should favor the left side of the fairway to provide better visibility for the approach shot. The approach shot is also uphill. It will be necessary to reach the level of the grass bunker on the left, in order to get a good view for the approach shot. This green is guarded on the right by a sandy waste. Remember to use at least one more club to compensate for the elevation change. Pin placements on the right side of this green will provide the most challenge. The back pin placement will likely frustrate some golfers.

HOLE 27 - Par 4. This is a dog-leg left par 4 with bunkers challenging the landing area. A good tee ball is required to reach the high point of the fairway, between the bunkers. It is important to reach this position to have a good view and approach angle to this well guarded green. The left side of the green is guarded with sand bunkers. This makes the back left pin placement the most difficult. Front right pin positions are more accessible.
