Investment Committee

Committee: Lydia Barron (chair), John Eckenrode & Valorie Hartridge (CFO)

Background: Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T) holds the BETF banking accounts. 90% of our funds are in interest-bearing business account. The other 10% is in a checking account for current expenses.

Jan 2011 Update: Investment Committee recommended a new Investment Policy Statement; approved at 3Q-2010 board meeting.

We use our BB&T account for certificates of deposit. No Black-owned bank identified. In light of current national financial crisis we will maintain our current banking relationships. Our goal is 4.5% ROI this year.

Next Meeting: None Scheduled at this time.
